Thanks!

It would be great to track down 5th and 7th place from NC, but that is still a bunch of good info.

The 8th place Imperial is the only player so far to take a GSD and NOT take Demolisher.

I feel like it says something bad about that card, that I find it hilarious to show up with a non-Demo GSD.

This is what Dano calls "bein' cute."

And a bomber force without Rhymer to top it off.

Seriously, hipsters. He used to use Rhymer and Demo, but now it's just soooo mainstream.

He's using Bossk now. You probably haven't heard of him. He's not very popular.

Well, I certainly believe that in his fleet the way he built it, both Rhymer or Demo would be a non-optimal use of points.

You're right, he should have used his points to invest in a new record player and circle scarf.

Whatever you say. I certainly believe that he placed high enough to show that his fleet build idea has merit.

Oh that's absolutely true. I am in no way mocking his fleet. In fact, I love the fact that he is the only one to run Glad without Demo. If nothing else it shows that it is possible to do absolutely respectable with an imperial ship fleet without it, which I think is of great value.

But it is just so against the grain!

so according to the data we have thus far, would the best fleet possible be imperial and contain: Motti(or Vader*snicker*), Demo, Ryhmer, NO VICs ALLOWED, at least 3 ships, 6 squads, and 6 deployments???

going on this assumption i was able to come up with this:

http://armadawarlords.hivelabs.solutions/view_list.php?token=29597

squabbling over ship types, and upgrade cards aside, the list attempts to combine all the best of what the game has to offer into a single list... perhaps more of a jack of all trades, rather than a more specialized list

thoughts?

Seems fragile.

While the "data" shows what is the best or at least what wins the most, what it can't show is he level of experience the player has with that list nor can it show who that player was matched up against.

Personally, I would welcome playing against your list. While it sounds arrogant and it is slightly, DtO had feasted on similar lists with little issue. DeMSU has as well.

So, your list matters less Han you want to believe, in the end it is your experience and who you get matched up against

Averages in statistics are often meaningless.

Look at the fluctuations.

Exactly. By averaging the best places to live, you may find yourself in the middle of nowhere.

The 8th place Imperial is the only player so far to take a GSD and NOT take Demolisher.

I found 7th place fleet (I asked someone who played him round 2)

Corvette B, Garm

2x AF MKII B, Boosted Comms, Flight Controllers

7xYWing, 3xAWing, Dutch, Hwk

It looks like he played on the third table in Round 3 vs 5th place and tied 5-5. I recall that it was also a Rebel bomber-heavy fleet, but I may be mistaken on that one.

I have the full lists and rankings from Dallas. Unfortunately, I'm in a hotel on a phone, so ain't no way I'm writing this all out tonight. Winner was Rieekan in Defiance with 2 SW90B's, 1 TRC90, and 6 squadrons.

Marietta top three (all I recall right now)

My GCW DeMSU fleet (Clonisher and four APT/OE Raiders, 4 TIEs)

2. Boston1809 - DeMSU Fleet (Clonisher, 2 APT Gladiators and two Raiders. 3 TIE interceptors and IG 88. No OE on his build)

3 WuFame - TRC90 5 ship MM swarm with six YT 2400s

That list sounds... Familiar.

I still feel robbed. I mean Biggs made it famous. And its Biggs who flys it so well. And its Biggs who promoted the list....

But you knowm I flew it badly first.

But, how did it do at Nationals?

I'm glad Ard has the full lists. That will be extremely helpful and something I didn't get down. The player numbers were down a bit, but still managed around 22-24 (wait for Ard on the exact numbers). And yes, that's a variant of Biggs' list winning. The key change-up was Enhanced Armaments (and therefore no bid) instead of Intel Officer. We had a couple of Rebel lists in the top 4, but also a DeMSU list. I didn't get a good look at the 4th list. Just eyeing the room, I'd say it preserved the 65% tilt toward Imperial fleets.

I'd say one lesson that Carribean Ninja also echoed in his thread about the GA regional is how much the luck of the draw on the fleets and the luck in the dice on key turns can really swing the results. A poor showing in the first round can really put people off their game for the rest of the tournament.

Whenever possible, players gathering info should ask the TO to simply take photos of the lists and final standings. This allows you to have the info after.

Lists are public info for tournaments, so while I would recommend letting players know your intention they cannot be hidden from you after being revealed.

I don't know. Ask me on Thursday evening.
