A question came up in general discussion the other day. Is removing a stress mandatory when you perform a green maneuver. We all agreed that it was but there was the "I never thought about it that way" expression on everyone's face. So, I thought I'd throw this out to the group for a response.
Stress and green maneuvers
The rules give you no choice. You have to remove a stress token if the maneuver is green.

Or Tycho with Wired.
Sorry to disappoint guys. Happened during tear down when the comment was made "I wish I could keep my stress sometimes". You carry a stress for wired, as an example, but during the next activation phase your best maneuver is green. A white maneuver won't do and reds are a no-no. You don't want to lose the stress and you don't have a way to re-stress yourself this turn. Hence the question.
This is why you pick experimental interface for your mod. so you perform your green maneuver, remove stress, perform an action from your action bar or a card for your first action, then trigger experimental interface to perform another action from a card (not your action bar) then you gain your stress back to use wired.
There's plenty of ways to stress your ship if you try hard enough.
