Our LGS is running an Achievement League for May. One of the achievements is to win with a 75pt list made up of one unique pilot and no upgrades on the squad.

I play Empire and Scum and I'm having a hard time coming up with a list that would work for either faction.

I was hoping that someone here on the forums could help.

As far as ships go, I have multiples of all Empire and Scum ships so having enough is not a problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chances are that you'll se a lot of mini swarm lists so A's ability, allowing for shield regen, will be a pain. Pick off his ace, then just chew through the rest at your leisure. Plus with 3 red and green dice and a wicked action bar, you're looking good. The pirates will just clog up the field and cause mayhem for any large base ships.

Or at least the way I see it...

I like the list, but how do you think that would hold up against a 100pt list.

It'd take some fancy flying to be sure. About the only thing you could really hope for would be a swarm, otherwise I might use 88-C for the action economy and all around evasive shenanigans...

I might try a named pilot that helps your spammed ships either survive or do damage.

3 possible lists are:

4 Black Sun soldiers

I personally would try the Carnor list because you need to be close to enemy ships rather than your own, meaning that you can try and get him out of arc so they have to shoot at the main formation. If you can't get him out of arc he will be shot at by all the enemy ships at range 1 and die though, so it is kinda high risk, high reward. His high pilot skill will help with the arc dodging though. Just be moving in slowly then suddenly have him shoot forwards 5. Maybe if you are feeling really brave have him do a 5 k turn and sacrifice your boost/barrel roll so he can stay in range 1 of the enemy for the next round too.

This achievement will be hard to do though if you are playing against regular 100pt squads, maybe try and get a game against the new guy without much experience and not as many upgrade cards to choose from.

This might be the spot for Rexlar Brath and a mini swarm of sorts. Tie Defender might be your best bet

Exactly 75 pts, two attackers and two blockers, ace takes advantage of minions.

As far as cost-effectiveness goes, I'd say it's your best shot.

Otherwise, for Scum, IG-88C is self-sufficient enough to pull it off.

For Rebels, I'd say Luke/Poe for survivability.

Imperials, either Vessery with FOs or Carnor with 'ceptors.

Thanks for all the input. I like a couple of these lists so far.

Regardless of which I choose it's going to take some fancy flying to pull this achievement off.

There's 8 achievements in this league, and no one knows what each other is playing for each night.

So this is going to be interesting.

So one of the other Achievements is to use only Target Lock for your only action, even on ships that do not have it.

The list I'm considering is:

Col. Jendon with Tractor Beam, Palpatine, and ST321.

Omega Leader with Swarm Tactics, and Stealth Device.

Dark Curse with Stealth Device.

Wampa with Stealth Device.

What do you guys think?

Regarding the target lock achievement a punisher (specifically Redline) would also be great. Though loosing the boost action is a bit downer. Decimators could also work, but suffer from the same lack of boost action.

The list above sounds fine, however I suspect it to be a bit lackluster on the offensive side.

I thought about the Punisher, and Decimator options. But felt that the lack of boost really hampered the list.

The above list I know doesn't have much in offense, but considering that the only action allowed is TL I figured a more defensive list would help since I won't know what kind of list my opponent's will be bringing to complete the other achievements.

There's always the possibility of playing against "that guy" that doesn't care about the achievements and only wants to beat stick his opponent (yes, we have one). In fact he's the reason for this league, unfortunately our TO has said you don't have to do any of the achievements if you don't want to.

Personally I feel if your not going to follow the spirit of the current league you should have points taken away. But that's not my call.

For the TL achievement, I would use Colzet on the imperial side, and Latts Razzi or Drea on the Scum side.

In fact, I just built this list the other night. Haven'the played it yet, but may lend itself to the TL only achievement.

Used Omega Leader, Dark Curse, Wampa, and an OGP with Palpatine.
