A Scyk attempt.

Experimenting with Attanni Mindlink, I eventually took a long, hard look at my unused Scyk and came up with something fun to try.

Serissu (20):

• Attanni Mindlink (1)

• Guidance Chips (0)

• "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2)

• Proton Rockets (3)

Total: 26 pts

Not only the Scyk is frail, Serissu is usually a magnet. So I thought she could work as a poor man's Jake Farrell: rush in, delete something, go down in a blaze of glory.

BR instead of Boost isn't ideal, but PS8 should be fine. Hate paying a premium for PRockets, also hate lack of an offensive ability. But hey...

Waste of points? Not "ace-y" enough for Prockets? Ordnance's just not for Scyks?

To fill the roster, I called on two good buddies who wouldn't mind the Link:

Boba Fett (39):

• Attanni Mindlink (1)

• Engine Upgrade (4)

• 4-LOM (1)

Total: 45 pts

Palob Godalhi (20):

• Attanni Mindlink (1)

• Blaster Turret (4)

• Dengar (3)

Total: 28 pts

Brings it to 99 pts, so I could always switch Palob to TLT and Cloaking Device.

Any other suggestions? I'd like at least one other ship that could mess up target priority and exploit the Mindlink. Don't even have to be the same ships, just wanna toy with the idea and give a shout out to Scyk enthusiasts.

N'Dru w/cluster missiles, chips, Glitterstim, and Lone Wolf will put 8 hits into so body almost garunteed for 25 points versus 4-5 at 26 points and having to get in range 1. Serrisu may not be your value choice here.

I guess Serissu is protecting Palob? Because there's no way Boba is going to stay R1 of her....

I really like tractor beam on Serissu. Makes her useful without putting too much of a bullseye on her:

Tractor is far more threatening because it allows you to pull enemies into range of Palob, or throw them on a rock or whatever. Also, the -1 agility is scary to imperial aces, so they are likely to just fly out of her arc (and most likely lose their shot in the process) rather than risk getting tractored...

N'Dru kinda misses the point on the Mindlink, no? Also depends on being far from the rest of the squad.

And Serissu's ability would just work as a plus. I'm only considering the high-PS Prockets as a different way of flying the Scyk. Like I said, a poor man's Jake.

There is no range limit on Mindlink. It doesn't care where N'Dru is.

But Lone Wolf and Attanni Mindlink on a Z-95 are incompatible.

You could drop Serissu to a Tensarri veteran, still implement the mindlink, and save three points.

I also love the idea of the tractor beam.
