Hilarious mickey-take. Will get lots of folks frothing, who don't understand the joke.
Hated him in Star Trek, but since embracing his inner geek, he's a funny (and good-looking!) guy.
What is there to hate? Love grown-up (well kinda) Will Wheaton
The You Tube comments are typically full of trolls, hence talking about it here with much more reasonable folks.
Most of the people in the comments section (on YouTube) are doing the same thing Wil has done. Saying something to get a rise out of people. I say have fun if getting upvotes on your comment is what makes you happy. I like the stuff Wil says and enjoy reading as well as watching him. Used to enjoy his article in Dragon (or was it Dungeon?).

Knowing what I do of his politics, I wouldn't be surprised if he thought people thought this stuff. Regardless, satire or not, he's still an ass and this isn't the forum for it since ut has nothing to do with the game.

If a lifetime gaming with guys has taught me one thing, it's that women shouldn't take ourselves too seriously.
Tuvok did it better.

Oh noes!!! Something is somewhat off-topic! Alert the elders!

I liked him in Star Trek as I was 7 when TNG came out and didn't get why a lot of people didn't like him. (I kinda see it now but I still like Wesley.)
He's definitely very good now.

Neither should the guys, but how many of us know that?
(BTW, I'm a guy and have that issue.)

I have went and alerted the Elders of the Internet for you about the grevious and horrible tragedy.
Richardbuxton you are hereby deducted one Internet credit. Jon D. you are hereby awarded said Internet credit, this is deemed and allowed by The Elders of the Internet. Also Jon D., please go to all the other threads on this forum that are not solely about the FFG Star Wars Role Playing Game and complain about it to them. I'm sure the Edlers of the Internet will be most pleased in this.
Careful.
Do not anger Shub-Internet :
Shub-Internet: /shuhb int@rnet/, n.
[MUD: from H. P. Lovecraft's evil fictional deity Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat with a Thousand Young] The harsh personification of the Internet: Beast of a Thousand Processes, Eater of Characters, Avatar of Line Noise, and Imp of Call Waiting; the hideous multi-tendriled entity formed of all the manifold connections of the net. A sect of MUDders worships Shub-Internet, sacrificing objects and praying for good connections. To no avail — its purpose is malign and evil, and it is the cause of all network slowdown. Often heard as in “Freela casts a tac nuke at Shub-Internet for slowing her down.” (A forged response often follows along the lines of: “Shub-Internet gulps down the tac nuke and burps happily.”) Also cursed by users of the Web, FTP and telnet when the network lags. The dread name of Shub-Internet is seldom spoken aloud, as it is said that repeating it three times will cause the being to wake, deep within its lair beneath the Pentagon. Compare Random Number God.
[January 1996: It develops that one of the computer administrators in the basement of the Pentagon read this entry and fell over laughing. As a result, you too can now poke Shub-Internet by pinging shub-internet.ims.disa.mil. Compare kremvax. —ESR]
[April 1999: shub-internet.ims.disa.mil is no more, alas. But Shub-Internet lives, and even has a home page. —ESR]

I'll save you some time. Just look for posts by me. I'm going to lose a lot of Internet credits.

No he did not. I would even go one step further say this was the dumbest thing I have seen this year so far.
(and wheaton was hilerious, just like in the tfa big bang theory episode..)

Come on dude... Why would you act all bend out of shape about someone calling you on this?
The boards are 80% game discussion, 18% Star Wars discussion and 2% completely off topic discussion and they have been thus for a long time already. That seems like a very healthy discussion board if you ask me...
Your initial remark made it political, mean spirited and awkward how else did you expect people would react to that?

Ouch. That is some rapier like wit you have there. Careful, you might poke your eye out.
Is that actually how Wil is wearing his hair these days? Or is he doing it to look like some emo/goth kid who is boiling with angst as part of the humor of the video?

Except for Dark Matter, man he didn't get that role right. Maybe it's the writing.

That's the saddest thing I've read all day.
