Ghost and Zeb crew card.

Need to clarify this for a build as no one in my local x-wing community seems to be able to agree on it. Can the Zeb crew card ability be used during the time when the ghost has the phantom docked and performs its second attack at the end of the attack phase? Any help on the matter would be much appreciated.

I believe there was a posting recently claiming that a developer said no to this. The only when activating stipulation means he cannot shoot a ship he is touching for his attack at the end of the phase.

Wouldn't be worth it, anyway. In a Ghost, receiving a R1 attack from a ship your touching isn't worth dealing them the auto damage.

Engine has it right to the best of our knowledge. The way it works is that you only activate 1x per combat phase as stated in the rules reference. The phantom end phase attack is definitely an attack but not an activation as those things are mutually exclusive (otherwise Dengar would be really odd).

I believe this is also the consensus. It certainly seems like it should be a firing arc.

With an autoblaster double-tap for 4 guaranteed damge it's absolutely worth taking the range 1 shot. When you can only get 1 shot form the autoblaster, not so much.

It kind of depends on what ship you are touching. I think that I'd gladly accept a range one attack to do 2 points of damage to Soontir or Corran Horn, especially if that means that they probably bumped and have no tokens to defend against other shots against them this round (and Soontir looses his stealth device)..
