Second list ever, Imperials!

By Merellin, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Here I am again, Trying my hand at a imperial list this time, putting in the handfull of imperial ships I have. So here we go!

The Inquisitor, Tie-Advanced Prototype, Marksmanship

Mauler Mithel, Tie-Fighter

Dark Curse, Tie-Fighter

Omega Ace, Tie//FO Fighter

Zeta Ace, Tie/FO Fighter

99/100 points

So, I have a feeling this might be a bit worse then my Rebel list, But it does have 5 ships instead of 3, And they seemed intresting, So hopefully it isent too bad!

Edit: The only ships I own for the Imperials is the two diferent core sets and the Inquisitor's Tie. So I used what I have.

So any list building stuff aside, 5 ships are WAY harder to fly than 3 ships when you are just starting out. With you only really owning the swarmy Imps its tough to build anything else. But flying 5 may become a bit of a nightmare for ya.

It's definitely true, but the only way to learn how to fly a swarm is to actually do it. I'd say go for it, although I've never really been a fan of Marksmanship.

Right now i'm just building lists with my very small collection. I want to build up a nice collection of both Imperial ships and Rebel ships, Trying to buy what I think looks cool, So other things are comming (And I realy like the looks of the Tie-Defender but yikes, that thing is expensive in points..)

Don't bother with a Defender unless you're also getting the Imperial Veterans pack. I don't really us mine, but I've already planned out a few lists heavily using the titles from the Imp Vets.

I run the TIE Defender all the time without Imperial Veterans. It is a ship that does a lot that nothing else in the Imperial Navy can do. The 3 Attack, Agility, Shield, and Hull really makes it a durable and hard-hitting ship. You can't just throw it into the teeth of the enemy and expect it to live (although I have and it has). The 4 K-Turn is really really nice, but can be a crutch that makes you predictable.I usually ran naked PS 1 generics, but the advent of U-Boats makes that less optimal. If you are playing a casual game, go for it.
