The entire two ships from the sequel put into the game and no one bats an eye,

Yet mention any of the prequel ships in X-wing and...

This times 1000.

Tartakovsky's Clone Wars is hands down the best thing to have come out of the prequels.

Personally I don't have any problems with the prequel ships (though some of the ship lineage stuff is pretty weird)... barring the godawful banana boat.

On artistic level I have to agree, but the character development from Filoni seems to have done something more interesting with his TCW. His Rebels seems still lacking.

I've never understood the hate for the N1.

Its a great design, possibly my favorite PT starfighter model.

It's sleek and sexy with that chrome bottom. So what if it's yellow? It's more of a gold yellow anyways like the Packers.

Plus it would actually have a role in the game as a cheap torpedo carrier. With the astromech slot and (ideally) barrel roll would be a fun little ship.

I'd call them yellow submarines :)

There's three pilots already from Shattered Empire, including Leia and Poe's mum.

Then you can have John, Paul, George and Ringo pilots :) love it!

I agree. There are many concerns about prequel ships and heroes (Yoda for example - dead on Dagobath) causing inconsistenci but now you have rebels/OT/EU/TFA all in play and majority finds it fine. Palpatin can see Poe in new X-Wing (while he is already dead). Finn or Rey on board of Ghost with Hera flying is not far away. Let alone Luke or Mara Jade and agent Kallus.

The fight scenes are what sell me... Grievous and Windu are ridiculously scary.

Star Wars has never had a particularly deep or interesting story. None of the characters are really that deep either.

Luke is just a generic 70's guy.

Han is the token badass.

Darth Vader is evil because he's ugly and in a sweet robot suit.

The Emperor is even more evil than Darth Vader because he's even uglier than Darth Vader.

Chewy is just hairy.

C-3PO is funny and likeable.

R2-D2 is the robot version of Chewbacca, the completely unnecessary sidekick character that only the partner can understand. Pretty much Sega CD and Sega 32x characters, just add-ons.

Leia is the princess, but she's also a former Imperial Senator leading a resistance movement against a tyranical empire.

Lando on the surface seems like a scumbag but redeems himself. He also manages Cloud City.

The only good Star Wars characters are C-3PO, Lando, and Leia. Kylo Ren is also pretty good. Star Wars is a movie where the bad guys have a moon sized laser weapon literally called the, "Death Star", where a tyrannical empire does evil things for no other reason than to be evil, where there is a mysterious force actually called the, "force" that controls everything, with a light and dark side.

Light side characters do good because they're good, dark side characters do evil because "power". Excellent story, what nuance.

Star Wars is great but it has little to do with its story. It's all about the universe its set in, the music, and the way everything looks in it. Its story is enough to get by on, but I don't want to hear anyone complaining about the force awakens because the characters suck in it. Star Wars characters have always sucked. Kylo Ren is a deeper character than Darth Vader actually.

And that's fine that Star Wars doesn't have particularly deep characters. Aliens is a great movie and most of the characters in that movie are one dimensional, "EVERY MEAL IS A BANQUET, EVERY PAYCHECK A FORTUNE, I LOVE THE CORPS."

:( true

Sigh

:(

It's good escapism but if you want deep and meaningful characters and strong story, mixed with believable science (even if it's sci-fi), you won't find it in the Star Wars franchise.

Thank you! Someone else who likes 'em! I mean, there the royal guard, of course they'll be a bit flashy, though I always wondered why everyone was flying on autopilot.

Considering Biggs can get blown up again and again and again against TIE Defenders and TIE-FOs. I am not really concerned with theme.

Cooler than that, he can be blown to pieces by Tie Phantoms, Corran kHorne or Pony Damerony

Oh no!

The day will come when Kylo Ren and Darth Vader take on Fat Han and Luke Skywalker!

Has the world gone mad!!!!

Yea right now the game covers roughly 39 years going from the start of Rebels through TFA. Probably more if you factor that not one, but TWO YV666 pilots are from the Clone Wars.

What's another 20-30 years into the past?
