Hi,
Does anyone think the Trade Federation will ever made an appearance in the X - Wing or would it not work out ?

I would guess not. 1. I believe FFG had said they were not planning on going back to the prequels. 2. There is so much content moving forward that going that far back might not be necessary and 3. Lots of fans hate the prequels and it would be pretty controversial and I would guess not great for the game/community.
Or I could be wrong
Can't see it.
I would love to have clone wars stuff in the game, but it is unlikely because so many people foolishly believe that the new Disney stuff is better than the prequel stuff. Heck, so far Binks had been a more entertaining character than Fin despite his lousy use in the prequel movies.
Because we totally need 10 Pts droid fighters to make even nastier swarms [/sarcasm]

/disagree .I found Finn/Rey's interactions cute, and the bromance with Poe awesome.
Here is the real problem with the Trade Fed,
There is not a lot of ships to pull from and the heroes would not be relatable, FFG would have to create a lot of content for a faction that would not be loved or received and most likely would be boring and feel forced.
PLUS I am more excited about going forward not backwards, I want more Raider Inspired ships and New F/O ships. The Black Shuttle is going to be a thing and its going to look amazing.

People do not "foolishly believe" that the Disney stuff is better, they just have a different different taste than you have.
there is literally only one reason to have the trade federation in the game, and we don't even need them for it because we already have palpatine
Neither the Trade Federation nor most of the Separatist forces would fit well in the current game mechanics. There would be little reason to print anything besides low PS generics, as most of the Separatist forces were droids with minimal variation among them. They relied on the numbers available through mass production coupled with the assumption that the Republic had no military. Once the clone army was activated and equipped, the droids were easily outclassed, only maintaining their edge through again superior numbers, and quite likely the manipulation so far the Sith who orchestrated the war. It seems likely that, had the Sith not been manipulating events, the Confederacy would have fallen more quickly once the Grand Army of the Republic entered service.
So, what we'd get is a variety pack of generic swarms: vulture droids, tri-fighters, etc. the Geonosians, sad as it may be, would probably offer the most varied fighters for the Separatists, excluding of course uniques like Ventress. (Theoretically, they could do Maul with his ship, but I still prefer to think he died 10 years before the Clone Wars, even though Star Wars canon makes my preference objectively wrong.)
Much as I'd like to have Jedi Interceptors, ARC-170s, and so forth, I just don't see an interesting faction to oppose them.
What I hate about the prequels:
The acting
Medichlorians
Jar Jar Binks
What I like about the prequels:
Jedi Starfighter
General Grevious fighter
Arc-170
Clone Transport
Clone Wars Era Y-Wings
Clone Wars Era Z-95s
Naboo Royal Cruisers
Naboo Fighters
V-Wings
Droid Tri-Fighters
Vulture Droids
and that's without going into the ships for Armada or the figures for Imperial Assault.
I'm sorry to all the haters out there but there would be enough interest in prequels to make it an option for a post Episode IX release. But for now I will say I'm MORE INTERESTED in seeing if we'll have a Rogue One expansion. My top two hopes are the different painted X-Wing and Rebel transport we've seen images of. Actually, I'd hope for Rogue One to be a start for atmospheric battles. I see more demand for AT-ATs than prequel stuff. There's also Rebels stuff.
IIRC on a podcast a month or two back one of the developers said Wave 9 was done, Wave 10 was underway and ships from the prequels could possibly happen in the future.
So I'd think it's a possibility, but one which might not be visited for some time.
do note there's little keeping Disney from taking ships from the prequels and incorporating them in their liscences (though I'd much rather just have new ****)
similarly, nothing wrong with FFG taking certain ships from the prequels and turning them into ships
the factions , though, would just be wholly unnecessary

Absolutely not, FFG has taste.
TIE Avenger and Assault Gunboat Wave 9.

Force Awakens was a good movie. Go hate Star Wars someplace else.

I would honestly really enjoy this. I could see it being handled similarly to Hordes as a companion game to Warmachine.
Your new core set (Let's call it "Jedi Starfighter", for argument's sake) would be a completely independent game, but totally compatible with X-Wing. If you want to play an X-Wing squad against a Jedi Starfighter squad, the rules will allow for it. But at the same time they work fine independently to one another.
At that point, you'd open up some new design space because you wouldn't need to be locked into the exact same core rules - with the amount of force sensitive characters that would be flying around, perhaps you could introduce a third colour of dice. Force sensitive pilots would throw one whether they were attacking or defending, and it could have several focus faces as well as a 'light side' and 'dark side' face that would trigger certain abilities (Like say, a Sith with "Whenever an opponent rolls dark side, that ship suffers 1 damage.")
I think it would be cool, and I won't be heartbroken if we never see it but I'd be excited to put a big swarm of Vulture Droids on the field opposite Anakin and Obi-Wan.
Unfortunately
Due to my own unique brand of psychological wellbeing
I'd only be excited about a prequel release if they did it for Armada too
And a starter box should be an Arc-170 vs 2 Vulture Droids. But I do like the addition of a force dice. Or instead a Jedi/Sith could get an upgrade like an Elite Pilot but more Force themed.
If FFG ever made the luchrehulk for armada, I would take back every bad thing I said about that game and buy in.
As of now: prequel content is firmly "never say never" territory.

Petition to ban SEApocalypse?
Supposedly the Trade Federation was nationalized by the Galactic Empire. But an organization of that size is bound to maintain some autonomy and their own security forces.
It would be cool to see evolutions of the Trade Federation ships 15 years after the end of the Clone Wars. What would these ships look like during the Rebellion.

Grievous, Asajj Ventress, droids and commandos, Doku, Jango Fett and tons of other Mandalorians, and so one. It still true to some degree, but it is even more true for force awakens which give us literally canon FO pilot. ;-)
Just outlandish awesome Poe and a few others on Resistance side.

Disclaimer: This has become a unintentional rant, you have been warned
Your lack of Padawan Tano and Apprentice Ventress is disturbing.
And somehow like a dévà vu.
Rex, Fives, Cody and the whole Domino Squad and the whole 501st Squadron were all awesome. Cad Bane, arrogant and fearful prequel Yoda, Mace Windu, impersonation of bad ass, the Jedi with the smile, Kid Fisto, Doku, Grievous, ******* canon Darth Bane (played by Mark Hamill), Savage Opress, and last, but not least the imo 3 most awesome prequel characters Anakin Skywalker (when not written by Gorge Lukas), Jar Jar Binks (when not written by Gorge Lukas) and Hondo "I am so proud, and betrayed, but so proud" Ohnaka.
So many great story arcs, "Battle for Ryloth" ark was great, Domino Squad had been mentioned already ("Bad batch" Arc"), "The "Younglings" arc was imo great as well, "The Nightsisters Trilogy" was top-notch, good was "Holocron Heist" as well, and my two most likely is "Darth Maul Returns", I could now go on and go one, there is so are
I could go on and on, so much better than nearly everything the EU ever produced, so much better than the sequel Stuf as well. TCW alone are ~44 hours of prequels, I am not willing to let this get overshadowed by two weak TPM hours. And they canceled the rescue of Darth Maul by Death Watch and the duel of Mother Talsin with Palpatine for Rebells, because of people disliking the prequel brand. **** you haters, I would have been perfectly fine with getting Rebels right after TFA instead of right before TFA. And technical and ironically Rebels is still prequels stuff.
/rant
Edited by SEApocalypseTCW is great. Rebels is great. ST(sequel trilogy). It's finding it's legs but I like it. There is no reason not to give it a chance.
The prequels movies though... Eh.
The list above sums up my feelings. Good bits, bad bits. I've gotten over the movies and love the universe. I concede that from that point of view the sequel trilogy hasn't added much, but it's associated media will I am certain. Give it time.
