EPIC: First Time with Assault Carrier

By RC8015FiSkirata, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So, my friend and I have done a few epic battles before, with him bringing the Rebel Transport, and a bunch of Y-Wings and X-Wings. In the past, my combined TIE Interceptor/TIE Fighter swarm backed by the Decimator has done well, but now I have a brand new Assault Carrier I want to try out. The idea is to use the Carrier to suddenly get the drop on him with my always effective interceptors. Any suggestions to the following list?

Gozanti-class Cruiser (40)
Mara Jade (3)
Fleet Officer (3)
Dual Laser Turret (5)
Docking Clamps (0)
Cluster Bombs (4)
Automated Protocols (5)
Vector (2)
Soontir Fel (27)
Push the Limit (3)
Stealth Device (3)
Autothrusters (2)
Royal Guard TIE (0)
Carnor Jax (26)
Push the Limit (3)
Stealth Device (3)
Autothrusters (2)
Royal Guard TIE (0)
Royal Guard Pilot (22)
Push the Limit (3)
Stealth Device (3)
Hull Upgrade (3)
Royal Guard TIE (0)
Royal Guard Pilot (22)
Push the Limit (3)
Stealth Device (3)
Hull Upgrade (3)
Royal Guard TIE (0)
(note: I only own two autothrusters)
Countess Ryad (34)
Push the Limit (3)
Stealth Device (3)
TIE/x7 (-2)
"Howlrunner" (18)
Hull Upgrade (3)
Academy Pilot (12)
Academy Pilot (12)
Academy Pilot (12)
Academy Pilot (12)
Total: 300
The general idea is that Mara keeps those Y-Wings stressed (last time, running her on a Decimator, I managed to cause him to run over two of his own Y-Wings with the transport since they have so little green), Fleet Officer provides even more action, Howlrunner leads a traditional small TIE swarm, and the Interceptors do their own thing after deployment, with Countess Ryad thrown in pretty much for the fun of using her ability.

If you're going with the Vector title, be mindful of the cruiser's position. If you expose your broadside you can more safely launch all 4 TIEs at once by launching two from the front and two from the back. Of course, with PtL and Fleet Officer, you could just turn 3 and turn 1, have the ships barrel roll out of the way, then have the next to perform turn 3 and turn 1. Sounds like fun!
