Homebrew Species
Seems about right... but as a techie, scavenger race, wouldn't Jawas have at least average Intellect? And as Signature 0 creatures, a low Brawn?
Also, I know there's been a
lot
of conjecture over 'Force sensitive species'. Which is why, alas, I don't think they will do Pureblood Sith or Miraluka.
(as well as being super-rare during the original movie era...)
But I didn't think they'd do Hutts either, and they proved me wrong there. I think the best bet for these is an Old Republic supplement, if they ever do era splatbooks.

Presence 1 on Purebloods? I mean, come on.
Agreed, but you could say the same about Chiss too.
Sometimes even the 'official' species stats are bizarre.
I could see SP having a presence of 1. To all but other Sith Purebloods, they could be very off-putting, especially if you are familiar with their heritage. Though that could just be represented as auto threat on charm and leadership checks but auto advantage on coercion checks.
Nice! I'm gonna have to update the Oggdude Character Creator with this stuff.
To be honest, I'd have hoped they picked some of these races to put in a book before Chevin, Ishi Tib, or either race of Mustafarian.
Also, I would really be on board for a KOTOR era splat. Even if it's fanmade. Or Prequel era. Honestly either gives a lot more freedom than the OT. At the very least, it's not a tyrannical rule the PC's have to run from.
I love EotE, but I would really enjoy something like a Republic/Sith Empire dynamic, or Republic/Separatist. They'd provide a lot of conflict for Force-using/ Droid characters.
To re-iterate — before you guys go too far on this list, have you checked the “Unofficial Species Menagerie” [1] and the “Great Movie Alien Compendium” [2]?

Please understand, I’m not saying that you’re not allowed to revisit any unofficial species that have already been written up.
I’m just asking if you’ve seen these other references, before you go statting up any of these other species.
If you have seen these other references and you wish to stat up the same species again, that’s fine. If so, I’d be interested to know what you feel is wrong with the previous work in this space and why your version is better.
Thanks!

I'm not going to lie. At only 95XP and a decent WT and ST, if I was going for a combat-focused character, I would probably pick this everytime.

Might not be very good anywhere else.

No argument here.
I think it would sit better with me if they had 85 starting XP versus 95. But that's just my 2 credits.
