does one besides me thing the VT-49 decimator just screams to be mounted on a small base and used as a ship killer torpedo boat in armada?? its so much cooler looking then the raider.

As I don't play X-Wing, I'd need to actually see them side by side to get any reference on size...

I think the OP means to mount the X-Wing model on a base and use it in Armada, not to make a Armada version. Which would be a fighter unit since it's about the same size as the Falcon, Outrider, Save 1, ect...

But given it's size... It's about the size of a VSD but a bit more bulky. I think you'd have to put it on a medium sized base.

I've put my Raider on the table next to my Armada ships and it looks pretty good as a stand in for some sort of small SSD.

OK guys, look at the base rod in the photo. They are the same size rod for the small ship bases and the fighter bases. These ships are about 1/2 the size of a Gladiator SD.

The rod for the VT-49 like all other Large ships in X-Wing are not the same size as the rods used for the small fighters.

IIRC the VT-49 in X-Wing is around 8-9 inches long.

I play X-Wing. The Decimator is of a similar size to an ISD. Way too big for Armada. Those windows on the bridge would be hundreds, if not thousands of metres across.

Keep in mind the ISD itself is only 1.6 thousand metres long.

So each window on an ISD-sized Decimator would be maybe a couple of hundred metres across at most, probably less.

I like the idea of using X-Wing ships in Armada generally. How do you mount it on a base? And what stats does it have?

Just use it as a variant ISD. It's too big to be anything else. Though why you'd bother is beyond me.

... I still havn't been able to see it side-by-side with any Armada ship :/
