WAVE 9 - Is It The TFA Set?

By Joe Boss Red Seven, in X-Wing

Think of the cool scenarios that can come with non-combat ships.

There are no scenarios only deathmatch!

I think it will be - it makes 100% sense that they'll want to bring Rey/Finn/Kylo into the game ASAP and there's no other ships begging to come into the game that aren't Force Awakens.

There will be the TIE/sf, perhaps Leia's shuttle as that fits a gap in the Rebel lineup where the Imperials have the Lambda, and then I'd guess they invent one of the pirate ships from the groups that got munched by the Rathtars. Will we see Kylo's shuttle? I don't think it's as big as people think, but my gut is we won't see it as the Lambda already exists.

Maybe, It depends on two things.

  1. Source Material FFG wants to pull from
  2. Extent of the license Disney gave FFG (most important)

It could be possible that the extent of FFG's license with Disney only covers the episode 7 X-wing and TIE Fighter and if that is the case FFG has to renegotiate with Disney to gain access to the other ships.

BUT IT AIN'T...Big C-Dogg has made it clear many times that FFG can do just about anything, and will do what Dat MOUSE wants also.

;)

I haven't used the Force Awakens models I've already got, to be honest.

Then you are depriving yourself of some fun because badass T- 70 Slick Boom Boom and Sneaky-ass TIE Fo-Fo are awesomeness!

... I don't even care about T-65 shortcoming anymore, and dat is great! I think you should get up to date Star Brah!

:)

Not sure why you would want troop transports in a space fighting game, but sure.

The troop transport could serve as a really cheap units to haul crew around. Cheapest Palpmobile ever....

There is absolutely zero reason for the FO troop transport to be in X-Wing. It has zero attack capability and brings nothing new to the table (other than our first zero attack ship). The TIE/sf however, I am quite excited to see.

Second Zero Attack: GR-75.

Not everything has to be 100pt deathmatch.

Scenario play is nice, and Empire at the moment is lacking an objective like the GR75 or the Senator shuttle. Would be nice if Empire had to protect, and the terr...eh rebels or scum can attack ruthless.

DAT...dat-dat-dats!!!

 :D :)

I very much doubt that is the nature of the lisc, but obviously Disney has to approve whatever they submit. If Disney thinks it doesn't make sense it will be hard to get it in game, if Disney thinks it must be in game, it probably will. I believe they essentially have a blanket lisc on all of SW IP for use in a mini's game with the caveat the IP holder, now Disney has final say on basically everything relating to the IP, but not likely any say or interest in mechanics.

Thanks Boss, I am that Star Brah :)... and yes I agre with your first post entirely. Would love to field Kulos shuttle surrounded by a lot of First order transports.

Maybe it will only happen the day we get scenario fights, Resistance has to destroy so and so many transports etc, but I hope we get them :)

Rookiepilot: The micro Machines one is preeetty close if not exactly right in size. The Micro Machine Quad Jumper also seems to be spot on, I need to find a use for it :)

Right-on my Star Brother!
