The Countess can treat straight moves as K-turns. Are all the K-turns a white maneuver?
Thanks.

No, it says she may treat her straight maneuvers as K-turns. That means that whatever color the maneuver she performs is the color of the K-turn. In the case of Ryad, that would mean all straights treated as k-turns would be green.
That takes great to amazing.
She is going to be a power house with the D title and an Ion Cannon.

Yes, yes it does.
Hey everyone, I am fairly new to X-wing and haven't played a whole lot yet but I have been looking at all the different possibilities and using a squad builder app to play around with different squad ideas. One thing that really intrigues me with Countess Ryad is her ability with Tie/x7 giving you a free evade on a 3, 4 or 5 maneuver, using push the limits, and twin ion engine mk II. This seems to me that this would make countess a very fast and maneuverable fighter with getting a free evade plus two actions every turn (so essentially 3 actions). Sure you lose your cannon and missile upgrade with Tie/x7, but the possibilities with these maneuvers would make you very hard to get in a firing arc let alone hit because you have 3 agility and evade every round. plus you can take a focus token and do a barrel roll every round with push the limits. This also only costs 36 squad points. So plenty of room for a couple other heavy hitters. A couple of moderately loaded Black Eight squadron pilots come to mind staying at 32 points each for a 100 point squad. Just my two cents.
Your two cents are well spent. I have run the Defenders with the Twin Ion engine, and I find they pair well. It's a lot of stress-free piloting. The elite pilots are just gravy. The new Defender Titles are just cheese on the gravy. (I must be hungery)
Would you be able to do a 1-Kturn?
No the slowest Defender straight is a 2. So you could do that but wouldn't get the evade token from the title.
you could do a 2 K turn and with engine upgrade perform a boost action to give you a 1 k turn. again as mentioned you would not get the free evade from the x7 title. another option is with push the limit you could do a 3 k turn shed a stress token, get your free evade from x7, perform a boost, and do either a barrel roll or focus action. There are a lot of interesting possibilities with Countess Ryad to ensure you are always on target and evading your opponents firing arc.

It's actually more like a 0 K-turn. You're not stationary, but if you imagine placing a zero-length maneuver template between your front guides, then picking up your ship, turning it around, and placing it at the other end of the template, you're pretty close to where you'd be after a 2 K-turn followed by a straight boost.
Would you be able to do a 1-Kturn?
Lol she would do -1 K turn then
that would be frakkin sick!
In fact with 2k into bank boost into BR, you are going negative anyway...HOLY MOTHER OF ARC DODGES.

New added "ability" to Darth Vader "When you take damage from an opposing ships attack, the opposing player chooses your maneuver during the next planning phase"
Proxied this pilot with title, VI and ion engines with standard soontir build and a tact shuttle last weekend. I'm in love.
on another point though, Ryad's pilot ability says "when you reveal a straight maneuver...". Since boost (and subsequently straights assigned by ion tokens) don't actually reveal a maneuver, they can't be turned into k turns with her ability, right?
No. Boosts are not manoeuvres and are not affected by Ryad's ability.
And the 1-straight from being ionised isn't revealed, so you wouldn't be able to turn that into a k-turn either.
But with those limitations aside, the Countess is still a lot of fun.
