What other cross-ship pilots would you like to see?

WANT TO FIX THE T-65...

THE END.

Does the greed of you rebel terrorists know no bounds? All you want to do is take and take until you have everything and everyone else is left with nothing.

And I want Vader in a Defender and/or Avenger. Our Lord deserves the best that the Empire can provide.

Edited by HolySorcerer

Serious answer, I'd love to see Soontir in a Defender. It is one of the ships he test piloted. And he IS supposedly the Empire's top ace. So he should have access to their best ship.

Soontir in an TIE/x7 would be pretty **** sweet.

Kanan in a HWK? Nera in a Y-wing, for no better reason than firing turrets and torpedoes wherever she wants them...?

Royal Guard Interceptor

Just realized this thread is for existing pilots. My bad.

Lieutenant Lorrir in Tie Defender MINUS the stress penalty

STRESSBOT!!!!

R2 Astromech with Stay On Target. Or R2, PTL and EU I suppose if you want to make him super expensive.

But...Fel is cross faction as well, so that means he will have a different ability. Maybe add a crit result whenever he hits, or evade token on clearing stress, or something.

I would really like to see Keyan Farlander as a Y-wing pilot and I have even heard a rumor that FFG was considering making Keyan a Y-wing pilot around the time of Rebel Aces.

However, I have thought about the possibilities of this at length and it is not going to happen for one simple reason. R3-A2. Imagine if you will a Stresshog (Y-wing with R3-A2, BTL-A4 Y-wing, and Twin laser turret) with Keyan's ability. Since that he would get 3 attacks a turn, he could use his ability three times a turn, removing three stress a turn.

That means he could double stress someone and do a K-turn every turn with no draw back, and functionally have a focus for all three attacks. As much as I love to do this, it is not going to happen, it is just too good.

Stressbot works once per attack. TLTs you effectively just roll the dice twice; it is not a separate attack involving target declaration and never was. (If you've been splitting fire with TLT you've been doing it wrong)

Wedge in a T-70. You know he's got to be one of the people who taught Poe.

Corran in an X-Wing.

Luke in an A-Wing.

Tycho in any ship with a decent action bar. I know X-Wing is most thematic, but not a great synergy, unless you pass on IA for an engine upgrade. Tycho in an E-Wing though? Nice.

I love the idea of Maarek Stele getting a pilot card for every Small Imperial ship; his pilot ability is innocuous enough to not break anything since the Imps don't have a Small Cannon carrier besides the Defender, which he's already in, and he can be easily costed through existing pilots. Plus the delicious, delicious fluff.

I like Vader in a Defender too, which is fluffy, but a PS9 Defender with access to EU and two stressless actions a turn might be a little overpowered. Especially with the x7s on the horizon. He might have to start at, like, 40 points.

Lots of people pointing out Tycho and Corran in X-Wings, and I'm game. Luke in an E-Wing as well, that's pretty solid.

As far as interesting Pilot/Ship interactions, I think Jendon in a TIE/sa would be neat with TIE/sh and LRS forthcoming. Captain Jonus by rights would make an excellent Lambda pilot as well, oddly enough. Let's get a Parent Trap thing going on there, the CO doesn't need to know.

And if they are so inclined, I really wouldn't mind Keyan Farlander getting the same treatment as Maarek Stele. PS7 and a decent Pilot Ability that can't really be broken in the different Small ships (although an A-Wing would be pretty freaking sweet, since he can finally take both PtL and VI, just like Farrell).

Edit: Speaking of Jake Farrell, can we get some more Rebel Assault pilots? Rookie One flies pretty much everything at one point or another, and Ru Merleen would be fun to see.

Stressbot works once per attack. TLTs you effectively just roll the dice twice; it is not a separate attack involving target declaration and never was. (If you've been splitting fire with TLT you've been doing it wrong)

Actually, Stressbot is activated when you declare the target of an attack. TLT lets you perform two attacks, skipping the declare target step of the second attack. There for a Y-wing with BTL-A4 gets two declare targets steps and two chances to use stress bot, provided they attack with their primary and then their turret weapon.

Keyan Farlander's ability to, when attacking, spend a stress token to chance all eyeball results to hits works every time you attack. This would mean Keyan in a Y-wing with BTL-A4 and TLT would get 3 opportunities to spend stress tokens, because he would attack 3 times.

Admittedly, he would only get 2 stress a turn from stressbot, but you can potentially get a third from other sources like k-turning, debris clouds, and performing a 3-hard turn. Or you can just take a focus action and then effectively have a focus for all three attacks

Wrong build Grimmy! PtL, EU, and BB-8. Gives you four "actions" per turn and makes you move in bloody weird ways; it's fun as hell.

Holy crap, Soontir clearing his own stress immediately after PTLing off BB, fiendish! I guess that would mean Flatchet cannons would be in vogue. This is why Cross faction pilots change their ability.

I was thinking more like range 1 firepower 3 Attack: Focus Discard this card and a focus token to perform this attack. If this attack hit cancel all dice results and deal the defender (4 to , maybe 6?) face up damage cards to the defender. Point cost 10, also unique since it is a single ship killer.

Edited by Marinealver

B-wing Prototype Wave Motion Gun (unique cannon upgrade, B-wing only)

Attack 3 dice (target lock)

Range 1-2

Spend your target lock and discard this card to perform this attack. If this attack hits deal damage cards to target until total damage to ship is one minus hull value. If any critical damage result is not cancelled on a large or huge ship destroy ship.

Place one stress token and one ion token on your ship.

Don't mess with Hera.

I think for the Rebels you should change the pilot ability as pilot ability changes across factions. As far as pilots that span factions and ships we have two pairs of pilots that set the precedence.

Boba Fet and Kath Scarlet is dual faction. They keep the same ship and attributes such as action stats and point limit but the pilot ability is different.

Hera and Marrek are multi ship where they keep their pilot skill and pilot ability (and EPT slot) but everything else is changed to the ship.

Still we have no pilot that changes both ship and faction.

Biggs in a TIE Fighter...hmmm

Stealth device? Hull? Poor guy has to evade every turn. I guess he would cost 16 tho. Seeing a TIE on the rebels side lined up with X-wings would be weird.

Bossk in a Z-95 w/ crew slot. (basically start out with the Nastah Pup)

I always thought that the Hound's Tooth should have had Bossk on the other side of the cardboard Z-95 base and included a pilot card for him. Even without the crew slot, I think a PS7 Z-95 with his ability and an EPT slot would see some play at 17 points.
