Tradeing with knocked out heroes

By Vitezslav, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hallo!

I looked through all the rules several times but failed to find the answer on several questions:

1. Can the hero can trade with the other hero that is knocked out?

2. Does that token on the map let to trace line of sight to the hero is belongs and therefore be revived by skills like 'Radiant light'?

1) No. A KO hero token is not a hero (unless you are healing it) and cannot be traded with.

2) Yes. Since radiant light is a healing ability, you can treat the token like a hero and heal it.

1) No. A KO hero token is not a hero (unless you are healing it) and cannot be traded with.

While I can see the game mechanic reasons for this I have to admit the mental visual is quite funny.

"dafrca grab the Longbow from Bob."

"Sorry, I can't. He is knocked out on the floor."

"It's right there, pick it up."

"Sorry, I can't. He is knocked out so I can't touch the Longbow."

:P

I agree- I like to imagine that Bob fell ON the bow, and there is no time to pull him off of it (also it might injure him or something).

"Wait... you can't touch Bob's bow...but you can pray over him?"

"yes, he's right there.."

"but so is his bow!

"no, it's not!"

If Bob is knocked out can we loot it from him?

If Bob is knocked out can we loot it from him?

I honestly think this should be a rule changes. Party members should be able to use an action to "trade" or "borrow" an item. This seems like a no brainer to me. What do the rest of you think?

There is nothing wrong with house rules if it makes your own experience of the game more enjoyable. As far as this issue goes RAW, I don't mind it- because I'm fine imagining that the armor is attached, or the weapon is stuck underneath him, or something. I imagine not taking the time to pick over your downed friend's body while there are monsters closing in. Also, you don't want to leave your friend defenseless, do you?

"Hey, Bob is knocked out!"

"Yeah, let's take his armor. I'm sure none of these goblin's arrows will hit him."

"You're probably right. We should take his sword, too. When he wakes up, he definitely won't want to defend himself."

"Guys, which one of you took my pants? Guys?"

Bob has a sword.

Bob was knocked out.

Bob fell on the sword.

Bob is smart, be like Bob.

What do you call a kobold with no arms and no legs in a pool of water...

Bob

What do you call a kobold with no arms and no legs in a pile of leaves....

Russell

What do you call a master kobold hiding in a room, behind a door?

You don't call it, you go get it!
