if my small ship has two or more ion tokens on it are they ALL removed on its next turn when it moves 1 straight? or is it ionized for the next two turns?

Per the ion token rules card, all ion tokens are removed when the ship executes the ion maneuver.
Just for completeness, also note that a large ship with 1 ion token keeps it until it gets a second and performs the maneuver.
^you mean when a large ship has two or more ion tokens, not just a second one. It could run around the board with a single ion token for many turns until getting hit with a bunch more.
Also epic rules state ion tokens reduce the amount of energy a huge ship gets.

Ion tokens by size:
Small Ship: 1 or more it doesn't matter because the effect is the same and then the ALL disappear.
Large Ship: 1 doesn't matter but if you get 2 you can pick up any number more and have no added effect as they all still disappear.
Huge Ship: The number matters as you gain one less energy the next turn for each before they go away but that is all. A hint here is that if you're not getting any energy anyway there is nothing stopping you from going full steam ahead or performing another low energy gaining maneuver.
