Ban Veteran Instincts.
I can't think of anything that needs to be made unique right now. Maybe Stealth Device for purely fluff reasons.

Maybe make Tactician unique. I can hear all of them arguing:
"We should attack en masse!"
"No, we should split up and try to divide their forces!"
"Thanks guys, now I'M stressed."
Edited by DailyRichI wouldn't ban anything, just limit the TLT to 1 per 50 points.
I'd ban R2-D2 the astromech. But that's a personal preference since I hate regen.
I feel that VI is a pretty important card to keep around. Keeps lots of builds viable.
Ban PTL. simple.
because it's the MOST overused EPT ever.
I agree with Warpman. It's over-used. It gets to the point that it's just auto-include on almost every pilot these days. It creates some of these stupid hard combos that makes the game a bit silly at times. I just think banning PTL would make the game more interesting and have more variety in it. Still, though......I think I have to say just make it Unique (which won't really fix the problem). There is another card I hate:
Advanced Cloaking Device needs to be banned. Yeah, you don't see Phantoms around that much anyways, but I still hate them. Phantoms are one of the most extreme ships in the game. They have the hardest counters. You either have the thing that can kill them easy or they destroy your list. It just becomes the most rock/paper/scissors type game when you have Phantoms around. I will say, though, that it's really the high Aces that can recloak. Get rid of ACD and Phantoms are no longer game-bending.
Edited by heychadwickI'd ban the Intentional Draw card. Though I've never seen it, it's got a lot of people riled up.
I would ban Veteran Instincts, Push the Limit and Engine Upgrade.
Veteran Instincts is really dull, makes little sense fluffwise, and I think banning it would make less used, high PS pilots see more play. Wedge, Tycho, Talonbane and Rexler especially are rarely seen partly due to all these PS10-11 pilots. I'd also like to see builds of Whisper, Echo and Poe that are a little bit more creative than just slapping +2 PS on them.
Push the Limit is also simply too much of a nobrainer sometimes. There are so many pilots that are basically glued to it. Would a non-PTL Fel be viable? Probably, especially in a meta where only he and five other pilots hit PS9 or above. It would also make the choice between him, Jax and Phennir.
And Engine Upgrade? If you're sinking a lot of points into a high PS large ship, you add Engine Upgrade. This is also Dull. Large ships should be, if not sitting, then at least waddling ducks. A Decimator shouldn't be about to outmaneuver an A-Wing that effortlessly.
I would ban Push the Limit and make VI unique.
You dislike Interceptors and Phantoms, I guess?
On the contrary, I love them. I just wish some ships didn't have compulsory builds.
I feel that VI is a pretty important card to keep around. Keeps lots of builds viable.
The only reason that VI keeps builds viable is because of VI. It really created a catch 22 that lead to a inflation in PS, without VI we wouldn't of seen the PS arms race.
I'd say it's done more to shift the meta than any other single card. But at this point I don't know that banning it would accomplish anything.
I think X-Wing without PtL could be a more interesting game as well.
I do not know about banning VI. It is necessary because it add uncertainty and diversity to the list building process. Without it (and presumably adaptability, as it has the same impact), players flying PS 9 pilots would always know that they would at least have a chance of moving second. Also, the opportunity cost of VI is high. Players are required to spend a point and sacrifice their EPT slot for and upgrade that may not have an impact against many opposing ships.
Rock should be unique or banned outright. Scissors desperately needs a fix. Paper is fine.
All large ships unique.
IG-2000 title becomes kind of useless.
I would ban PTL if only to see how it would change the state of the game. It would be interesting to see what Soontir Fel and the boys reach for as an EPT in that case. Maybe Exp Interface + Marksmanship or something stupid.
I would make Engine Upgrade unique in a different way- Make it small ship only, or alternatively, give engine upgrade the large base barrel roll treatment. Know that has been mentioned before, but it's a fantastic idea so I'll jump on the wagon.
I am ok with VI because there are some ships that simply need it to be competitive. VI Zuckuss looks like he might be finding his place, but I don't think he is top level competitive at PS 7. Same can be said for other pilots in the same boat, such as Xizor. It's a nice "make the poor rich or the rich richer" kind of card. But even when it makes the rich richer, they are handing over some utility by jumping on that PS bid which may not even come into play in a majority of games.
Attaining mind link. Unique.

Considering that the only two expansions it comes in, are large ships. Making it small ship only isn't likely.

I've been thinking about this, actually. I think it might end up being Elusive. Get a stress to have them re-roll one of their attack dice. That gives you a Focus to use on defense. So, your action is to either arc dodge or grab an Evade. Then, when shot, you can get that Focus when you get stressed.
It really would make Soontir Fel different to play. I wouldn't think useless, but a heck of a lot worse!

Which is why PTL has to go at the same time as VI. His ability might be less useful (making Jax and Phennir more interesting choices), but at the same time he'll have the best PS in the game, alongside only a few other pilots.
Stay on Target?
I hate to call PtL a crutch, but I sometimes wonder how the game would of gone without it and Interceptors had to be more careful about actions rather than being able to simply take two each turn. Same goes for so many other ace's especially arc dodging ones.
It could very well make Int's completely unplayable. But I also think that PtL is accepted as the only way to play them by most people, despite some people actually making them work without it.
Attaining mind link. Unique.
Um....
VI's max value should be PS9. PS 10/11 turrets with EU are ridiculous.
TLT should be unique. TLT spam is just lazy.
Echo is a dude because he curves to the left.
I would make bank boost red.
Engine upgrade would still be 4 points, but if you had innate boost it would only cost 2 points and make your bank boost white.
What I'd ban:
VI
Why:
VI is a card that makes builds viable because there's a chance someone else might bring the same ship with VI. VI is the reason I run Poe with VI. If I don't and someone else does then I am fighting an uphill battle. It doesn't add anything to the game other than allowing lower tier aces to reposition after higher PS aces. It's existence takes away from diversity that would exist had it not existed.
What Id make unique:
Push the Limit
Why:
It would make it so that with builds using ships such as A-Wings, Interceptors, Fat Falcons...... stuff that relies on it as a staple card, to look elsewhere for both action economy and I think it would lead to a greater diversity in those builds.
ban the TIE/D title.
Unsettling.
ban expose so we can stop pretending it's an option
also make expose unique
