A possible "Most Wanted" using the Gozanti Cruiser

By JediPartisan, in X-Wing

When Most Wanted came out I thought, "Sliced bread, move over."

So I've been thinking (a dangerous thing).

If Fantasy Flight released a package with say two mining guild ties and a Starhopper.

Seen here:

And here:

FF could also include a dial, pilot cards and ship card for a scum version of the Gozanti cruiser and we could use the Imperial Carrier as the model. Since the carrier is a Gozanti cruiser, we would finally get a huge ship for scum, but much like Most Wanted the ship would already be in our set.

Here is just one example of a Gozanti Cruiser that is not imperial:

Anyone else like this idea?

I can't see them doing another most wanted style pack and epics usually include fixes for existing rather than introducing new ones entirely. It's not a bad concept but I'd prefer a unique ship.

The only problem is that most of the huge scale ships would be too big to make a model of, especially for the scum faction.

Also each faction (aside from scum) have gotten two huge ships.

I'm actually not sure about sizing constraints because epic ships are on a different scale but people have been discussing the Action 4 transport and Star Jewel as likely candidates. Scums always been on the tail end of releases though, I'd just like to see new stuff really.

Yeah. Star Jewel (Jabba's ship) is 150 meters according to Wookieepedia, which is the same length as the Raider. The Action IV is 100 meters, which puts it a hair past the GR-75 in length. The Action VI transport (Talon Karrde's ship, seen in Episode II) clocks in at 125 meters, so it's also available.

Scum definitely have options.

That said, I'd also be on board with Scum getting alternate dials for stolen GR-75 and Gozanti ships.

The Action IV and Star Jewel are 100 and 160 meters in length (respectively).

The Gozanti cruiser is 41.8 meters.

So you would be looking at a model that would be more than twice the length of the Gozanti if they made the other two.

So FF would have to try to fudge the scale and people would complain... incessantly.

Well for the Gozanti to be a scum ship you could possibly slap a illicit slot and call it good. The real challenge in the rules is to make a list of scum ships that it can carry and to be honest scum like rebels tend to have hyperspace capable starfighters so a carrier would not be as essential for scum as it is for Imperials.

So far the only ship that comes to mind for being carried by the Gozanti is the Z-95 headhunter as it has no hyperspace capabilities. (Yet TIE Advanced could fit on the ship so there perhaps will be more).

Scratch that. This site: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gozanti-class_cruiser has the Gozanti at 63.8 meters, but still half the length of the other two. Also I believe the imperial raider and Tantive were not exactly to scale.

Get the dial upgrade kits, You can make a scum Gr-75 dial if you have them. ;)

It would be almost the exact same as the imperial version, but I would love to see a Gozanti carrying Z95s.

So first we will need some Scum TIE-fighters?AL2Jt2X.png

I think I know some Imperial commanders that might be up in arms over such a notion. :P

FWIW, I'd just as soon get a 'scum' Gozanti that actually looks different from the Imperial Carrier.

I mean, I love the look of the craft...like, a lot...just...well...I like the other versions of it, too. Like the Broken Horn, for instance, but there are a few others.

(And a Scum Gozanti that came with a pair of Scyk repaints would be pretty sweet...)

I'd rather see an imperial/scum cross over with firespray love and a new mechanic: Imperial Contract.

But again, the GR-75 clocks in at 90 meters. Not much smaller than an Action IV would be.

If anything, it seems like FFG took some liberties with the size of the Gozanti in order to make it properly work for docking. Or Wookieepedia is just wrong on its size.

Totally love this idea!

I would rather see two new ships for epic scum then repaints of existing ships. The Star Jewel above all gets my vote as one of them with a Jabba, and Bib Fortuna crew card.

The Epic ships are not 1/270 scale. They are scaled differently. In 1/270 the CR90 would be about 56cm long. And the GR75 33cm.

FFG is taking some liberties with the sizes of huge ships.

The scale is already fudged for epic ships; the Tantive is smaller scale than the small and large based ships, as you can tell particularly by looking at it next to the Ghost and comparing to the pictures of the same situation from the show.
