Random Thought - Signature Jetpak

So, Jetpak is a silhouette 1 vehicle .... so ..... that is well inside the limit for the Signature Vehicle Talent. Paint that bad boy up to show off your bling where ever you go!

Though technically the Jetpack "allows a person to function as a Sil 1 vehicle". So the jetpack isn't actually a vehicle itself if you want to get RAW...

Though I suppose you could.....

it would be even more awesome to use that modder talent to add hardpoints to the jetpack. just think of it, a jetpack with all-terrain legs or, even better, a hyperdrive.

Well, RAW the jetpack is not a vehicle. It's an item that merely allows a character to act as a vehicle. So... The fancy paint job would not be applied to the pack...

I think it was clarified (probably Order 66 episode 46 about the Stay on target book) that by RAW you cant have a Signature Jetpack. Still cool though and i think thematic for a very specific character... Iron_Man_bleeding_edge.jpg

I pondered this once myself - I'd be willing to allow some of the sweet mods for swoops ala Jewel of Yavin, but I'd let common sense rule the day.

The thing with the Sig Vehicle talents is that some are only beneficial to small craft anyway, Hard points are awesome anywhere, and so is improved handling, Armour is great as well. But the Increased SS and HT are practically useless on anything bigger than the small Sil 5 ships

I'd go with the jump-boots myself, but totally needs the repulsor fists. ^.~

I've been debating with my Bounty Hunter on wether or not he could have a Rocket (Dangerous Covenants) in his Jetpack, like Jango Fett.

My first thought was, get a weapon mount mod, but the CRB jetpack doesn't have any HP.

Maybe require Jury Rigged also?

Tinkerer would be the talent not Jury Rigged. the best attachment would be the "Under Barrel Grenade Launcher..." but for the 2 Hard Points its probably a custom built jetpack with an integrated Hardpoint then the Tinkerer talent to get the 2 required.

Or just a nice GM and allow them to integrate the Missile Tube from AoR with changed to Limited Ammo 1 and no Prepare quality, Probably best if the Jetpack is hand made for this

Didn't even think about Missile Tubes...

Maybe I could even have my Technician use the crafting rules to make something like this happen? I haven't really looked through them yet, but my Tech PC was lacking in focus recently, maybe I could combine this conundrum to do something nice for both of them.
