Sentinel:Artisen/Mechanic with Bad Motivator talent

I'm we've all seen the Bad Motivator threads that go something like "noticing a minor device is about to fail is ok but I would require my PCs to be able to 'interact with' (which I think mean being in the same room as, or being able to cause a power surge or something) a major device to make it fail" so in response to that... what if the PC was a Sentinel Artisan (or Guardian Armorer) with the mental tools talent (and maybe the move force power)... would you let such a PC make any device fail via Bad Motivator even if they didn't have physical access to it?

*shrugs* Bad Motivator is a narrative tool which you as player pay XP for, so it imo does not require "engaged with" anyway. R2-D2 for sure did not interact with the droid blowing up right next to him when that stupid Luke picked the NPC instead of the player droid.

With move you can just downright sabotage devices in the conventional way already, why bother to spend Bad Motivator on it?
