Omega Bombs (with Imperial Vets)

Testing out some new lists when Imperial Vets comes out. I really like the idea of unloading missiles/torpedoes, inflicting a lot of damage in hopes to take out the squads that have only 2-3 ships:

Omega Leader

Deadeye+Proton Torpedoes+Extra Munitions+Guidance Chips

I like Omega Leader to kind of sweep up whatever is left after all the bombers unload their ordinance.

Thoughts?

It may be worth trying out Long Range Scanners over Guidance Chips on the Scimitars. With low PS and no deadeye they will have some trouble getting the munitions off. That leads me to liking the first list a touch more, but you will probably have to fly them and compare.
