I'd also like something to even the fight between a viper and an interceptor. Anyone who flies vipers will know the pain in the ass that this mismatched fight represents. Soontir vs Xizor or Carnor vs Guri is pretty one sided, and the threat of the viper putting a devastating block on them would give them some teeth against their otherwise superior imperial-ace competitors...

I agree 100%. I'd like for the Vipers to be able to contend with interceptors, but not actually become interceptors themselves. Just giving them more greens and some higher PS pilots doesn't feel Scummy enough for me.

I like your idea of making them devastating blockers, by handing out stress when they block. I also like the idea of them being able to boost backwards at the start of combat phase - this would make for a super unique ship.Blocking a ship, stressing it, then boosting backwards for a range 1 shot would be epic.

I want them to find some way of turning the Syck into an A-Wing. But I don't really see how it's going to happen. :(

I'm also happy to take anything I can get on a StarViper, I already love those things so anything that makes them better will make me happy!

Personally --

I don't think we need new viper models or pilots to really boost the viper, it probably needs an alternate title or modification.

Scyk could use the most, and I would love a host of new z-95 pilots, it would be cool to have a bunch of neat z-95s.

Kihraxz would probably be ok with an alternate illicit and title..

I would see two scum epic ships - 1 with a kihraxz, 1 with a new ship...
and a m3-a z-95 pack, for aces, with a starviper fix card somewhere.

Said it before but I really think the TIE Proto Adv title should have been the Virago and the Illict/Systems should have been standard but there you go. .

So how do we make the Star Viper see more table time? I reckon it needs the evade action, some way to gain an evade token or just something to help with defence. Maybe via a ship modification that acts like close range auto thrusters, say S-Foil Actuators, instead of being range 3 and beyond, this is range 1 - 2 and lost if you ever receive a face up damage card.

Also, the Viper was noted for using Pistoeka Buzz Droids and I would be interested to see this implemented as an illicit slot. Maybe inducing stress on nearby ships within range 1 ala Mara Jade. One use only .Maybe even via an Illicit / Torp Discord Missile?

Maybe. . . just maybe if they put Talonbane in the Viper, same ability and PS, people would use it?

Yes, something like : factice torpedo-tube (torpedo, -1pt) : If you haven't a illicit slot already, you must equip an illictit card (paying the squad point cost as usual).

A missile who "if hit, cancel results, then deal 1 damage + 1 tractor token" could be a nice add :D

I think that it would be interesting to see the Tie-Wings from the X-Wing series at some point down the road. Definitely Scum ships...

Starviper is one of my favourite ships. I've noticed that many of the more succesful builds for them tend to focus around their being relatively action independent. Guri gets her focus if you play her cards right, and a reroll or two (you did take lone wolf or predator didn't you?!) while the prince's fcs helps him out in a bump or a stressful situation.

So maybe this is another area they could try and leverage to make the Viper a little unique? How about "Buzz Droids - At the beginning of combat, if an enemy ship is in base-to-base contact with you, you may deal it one damage and one stress, then discard this card".

This would impose an area of "oh sh*t" around the fighter, giving us a) a use for those PS1 pilots, who are suddenly pretty scary blockers, and decent fighters after the droids are away, b) make Guri pretty scary in a knife fight c) synergise with a new PS 6 pilot's pilot skill.

At the start of combat, if you are overlapping a ship, you may discard this card. If you do, add 1 stress to the other ship, and the opponent must search their damage deck for Console Fire, and add it to the target.

They could errata the Scyk titles to be free, that would be a start. At least a tractor beaming Serissu would be worth considering then.

I second the TIE motion: a Viper and TIE Defender would be awesome in a Scum Aces pack, since there already are instances of Rebel ships being co-opted by S&V personnel, an Imperial ship ought to be in the mix. By doing a Defender, it limits the number of TIEs that suddenly become available for S&V.

That shouldn't preclude adding pilots/titles for Kihraxz and Scyk ships.

At the start of each turn, regenerate a shield. (Up to your maximum shield value). (Of 1 or 2 with shield upgrade).

I definitely want a defensive boost for the starviper and regeneration for its single shield would be nice and NOT overpowered.

This, plus a slight cost reduction. It would act like comm relay.

It will be awesome if scum aces is a 3 ship pack with Starviper, Kihraxz, and Syck. If another major fix for a ship comes with an epic ship, it will be a sad sad day.

I just want to run an appropriately costed syck with ion cannon and +1 hull. Total cost ~18

I would be fine giving Kihraxz a free illicit upgrade. Free hot shot blaster or free glitterstim would make them worth running.

Of course all the ships need more pilots as people have said, and new illicits too.

A firespray boost could be nice. Perhaps a unique title granting access to a second crew slot to fill with those awesome scum crew.

VI engine Boba Fett with Dengar and Gonk crew is what I want to run.

I got so bored waiting for a Scum Aces expansion that I've been designing and developing my own 'Aces for Hire' expansion.

Asking about "aces" I'd have to say StarViper and Kihraxz.

There's no question that the Scyk could use some help (a new title just like it has but without the cost wouldn't kill much more) but it just doesn't feel like an "ace" ship.

That's a fair point (although neither do Bombers, really). Would make sense with a Starviper/Kihraxz aces set, and the Scyk as an escort for the Jabba boat.

The Bombers are NOT in an "ace" pack but rather a Veterans pack. The tried and true bomber allows its pilots to become Vets while the fighter pilots eventually build their way to the Defender which is why it qualifies as veteran.

But Jabba's Star Jewel docked his 'Star Jewel Guard', six elite Z-95 pilots with customized starfighters. Surely the Star Jewel should be packaged with a Z-95 and a Star Jewel Guard title that grants an EPT to generic pilots?

To be honest, I never have paid much/any attention to what ever they are that the Hutts lord around in. When I see the question about what the next Epic Scum ship should be my answer is always the Action Transport.

The problem with either of our opinions is that the first Scum epic ship is bound to be the C-ROC Gozanti, because it's shown up in Rebels and is current canon.

I'd like to see them simply obsolete the heavy title for the Scyk, like they did with Munitions Failsafe. Give us a couple of different one, Defender-style, maybe one that adds a cannon and a light one that adds green turns and an ilicit slot.

Can you explain "obsolete" in regard to Munitions Failsafe. Is that card no longer usable? I just did a search on the Forum and didn't find some kind of ruling. Sorry to go off-topic.

Han Solo, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian with both Pilot and Crew options and the Millenium Falcon as a Scum ship.

Guidance Chips is why Munitions Failsafe is obsolete. Why use an upgrade with a point cost to save you munition after a failed attack when you can use a card with no cost and makes your munition attacks more likely to hit.
