Please help me trim down...

By Phillipsosophy, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I love my upgrades (as my below build will surely demonstrate). However, I find on the forums here that I could be weighing myself down. Each upgrade shown below is dear to me... I am curious to know what you experts see... I'm sure I will learn from your expertise. Thanks in advance for taking any time to help me figure this out...

You can easily drop ECM from the MC30 as it has 2 of each defence token so is relatively immune to accuracies.

Overload Pulse on the MC80 can probably go too.

Saves you 15 points. If you ditch 4 A- wings you could then afford another ship such as Neb B with Salvation upgrade or drop 3 of them for a CR90A with TRCs.

I think your problem is less on your upgrades (though those could use some slimming down as well), and more in your squadrons. You have 116 points of primary anti-squadron fighters. Cut that down by 50 points or so, slim down a couple of your upgrades on the other two ships, and buy yourself a third ship.

From another direction, you have significantly more squadrons--even not counting the rogues--than you can activate with your ships. Consider "down"grading" to the command cruiser to save some points and grab an extra activation, or dropping most of the A-wings and relying primarily on Han and Dash (personally I find those two to be somewhat hit or miss as a defense, but others disagree).

Thank you guys! I took your advice and won a close victory today! This is what I used based on your advice:

Advanced projectors on the MC30 is almost irrelevant as the Foresight upgrade gives you almost all the advantages anyway. Either drop it or switch to Admonition as a ship title.

I do prefer ECM over advanced projectors on the MC80 but you would have to find a point from somewhere.
