First tournament coming up, a pretty casual one but a tournament nonetheless. My son and I will be going, we have played X-wing for awhile now but we sort of fell out of it and recently got back into it. We have a decent amount of ships so I just need help on some possible lists.

I pretty much only play Rebel so I have 2 lists I am looking at.

1. XXBB List

Wedge with Swarm Tactics

2x Blue Squadron

Biggs

I know about Paul Heaver's XXBB with Biggs, I just wanted to get another named pilot in there. I guess with this, have Biggs pull the attacks off Wedge as he blasts everyone and the B's just stay in formation and shoot stuff.

2. Han and Poe

Han - Falcon Title, Engine Upgrade, Chewie, Kyle Katarn

Poe - PTL, Shield Upgrade, R2-D2

Han does his thing as Poe flys around, regening shields. But I feel like everyone hates Han since he's sort of OP.

My son plays Imperial and likes the interceptors and the Decimator so if anyone has any good builds I can show him that would be very helpful too. Thanks in advance.

Can't speak that much to rebels, but the first list looks good to me. Personally, I like running triple interceptors (Soontir Fel, Carnor Jax, and Royal Guard Pilot each with PTL, Royal Guard TIE, Stealth Device, and Autothrusters) or a Phantom, and Interceptor, and a regular TIE/ln (or TIE/fo), although I really have no idea how competitive these would be in a normal tournament.

First list is not bad. If you can get them, Integrated Astromech for the two X-Wing would improve the list. Drop Swarm Tactics to afford a 1-point droid each for Biggs and Wedge, then they each effectively have another shield.

Similarly, in the second list, Integrated Asteromech over Shield Upgrade has a similar function, but at a 4-point discount. On Han, C3P0 would be a really good choice, especially over Kyle. Unless you're facing Rebel Captive a lot or doing K-turns all the time, Katarn is hardly going to do anything for Han. He would like another way to improve his offense, though, so if you replace Poe's Shield you could bump Kyle up to a Gunner or even Luke. If you do pick Gunner and have 2 points left, Autothrusters is another good Modification for Poe.

Good suggestions, too bad I don't have the integrated Astro or auto thrusters. Anything else you can think of?

I only run imperial at the moment so can't help you too much, all I can offer is that both lists would definitely pack a punch in the right hands! Wouldn't really like to come across either with the list I run

Got 2nd place, out of 8. Not a major tournament but it was fun. Ran a Poe, Red Vet and Keyan list. Worked well. Just couldn't take down fat chewie.
