Chardan Refit on X-Wing?

I've always seen the X-Wing as 'The fighter that destroyed the Death Star', it is the one and only ship we saw fire torpedoes, and in the age of ordnance where guidance chips is vying for the mod slot in most builds, sometimes beating autothrusters on A-Wings (which people do still load missiles onto) I'd like to see a card that makes running torpedoes on the X-Wing viable.

The X-Wing in the movie fires two torpedoes and we know that the X-Wing has a targeting computer, so here is my title card.

Gain an additional torpedo slot, any torpedo upgrade assigned to your ship is -3 points.

When firing Torpedoes, you may ignore the requirement to discard the target lock.

This allows you to take two lots of torpedoes, if you wish, that are cheaper and have greater quality than most ships.

However i know that not everyone will like that, but the only other thing would be a discount to astromechs.

I like that Ebak, but I think it may be too good.

The not dicard a target lock should be good enough, or at least as a possible fix (maybe give Xwings two titles like the Defender got- this being one of them) . Heck that would be awesome in some cases. I even suggested something similar to that.

The 2 torp thing is cool, but most times you fire torpedoes or other ordnance in the game it shows a picture of 2 being fired (so that is taken into account). If you want to get into specifics of how much ordnance a ship carries, most cut away pictures (same with rpg stats) show the Xwing carrying 6-8 torpedoes, or more

Another torp slot woud allow it to get Extra Munitions which is nice, but then I would def not say it needs a -3 point reduction on torps bought for it.

Just -3 points on torp, only 1 torp.

One of the problems with the X Wing is that it's just straight up overcosted. Even with the IA mod, it's still a point too much.

Adding two torps with no discount only further exacerbates the problem since you're now looking at a 30-32 point ship. One point less than the super-toilet seat with nowhere near the power and utility.

To make X-Wings great again, you'd just about have to redesign them or create a card that forced them into a design specific concept, or recycle other ideas that have already been done - such as giving them a title card like the defender just got but without the point reduction.

Point is, the "X-wing fix" will probably be something we would never expect. Something that would be very cool and fun to use. IMO, the Tie/X1 was certainly surprising. The X-wing fix wouldn't be simple. Whether it's an astromech, title, or even torpedo. I have faith that this fix would be good, but hey! We will see what happens...
