As the title suggests, this is a place to theory-craft for the new 4-player sub-game.

Lists are 150 pts. no commander or objectives.

I'll start off with my first.

Adding calculations to this, distance from corner to center is ~1021 mm. distance 5 is 304 mm, so you can start 717 from center but only need to be range 1 from the space station which 76, so starting out you need to close 641 mm. going the full distance is 304 mm, if you add the engine techs at 76, then you would move 380. so after one round of movement I would need 261 mm. which I could get easily in round 2. So the key is going 3rd to get initiative in the third round to place the token on the station.

I did not take into account the size of the space station cause based on placement would affect the distance.

A raider would move a total of 608 mm which is 33 mm short of center but based on station placement might be enough to place the token on round 3.

So a key thought for this list is figuring out how to go first on round three. The glad list has a crazy low bid but will not beat me to the station.

Thinking strongly that corvette with engine techs is necessary.

The Tantive would keep the Yavaris with squad token to keep all 3 HWks on the offensive, then race in to take the station.

HWks can make great bombers with Toryn (they are cheap and with intel and counter they can be annoying)

Yeah a CR90 with Engine Techs is the first thing I thought of. And I agree with Jaina's Light because you know all of the other players would otherwise be plopping obstacles in between.

I guess the counter needs to be try to destroy the CR90 and get to the station 2nd place for only 10 points less!

Further Thoughts:

For once, I really think the Assault Carrier is built for this.

Your Engagement Profile is 2/3rds to Flanks, and only 1/3rd Head On... Which means you're able to concentrate on anyone approaching you at Long-Range with Red Dice. People are going to want to have Speedy Ships, which means a predeliction of Raiders, Gladiators and Corvettes - Maybe Nebulon Bs, running for the station...

The Good News is, at Speed 3, you're not that far behind... And with your Engagement Profile, any of those caught at even long range is taking a Lot of Fire.

I'd even consider Raymus Antilles so you can Keep the Engine Techs going with a Token you picked up the round before, and then switch into Engineering a BUNCH, because you'll survive a bunch of paper-cuts as long as you're giving out better than you're taking...

Surprisingly, I think the Assault Carrier and the Non-GT'd ISD could be built for this...

The techs let them burn onto the station faster, firing all the way. The vet captain and Raymua keep the nav tokens coming a bit longer. TRCs keep the firepower up.

Between the two, I'd definitely go with the second one. I think squadrons are a liability if you're going for the points fortress approach: just a couple of unlucky rolls and you're down from 170 to 149, which is down in the territory of a CR90 swarm that got the first token but lost a corvette. And if you play with wheelin' and dealin' players like I do, that extra punch out the front could easily be enough to break an enemy to do your will in exchange for a promise that those guns will look the other way for a turn or two.

The assault frigate with 4 a wings did well.

Cut throat cr90s with TRC would do better XD
