TAP + TA + 2 x TFO

By Hopkinski, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Have been playing around with my expansions and came up with this list that seems like it will be fun.

TIE Adv. Prototype - The Inquisitor with Swarm Tactics, Proton Rockets, TIEV1 and stealth device

TIE Adv. - Tempest Squadron Pilot with Cluster Missiles, TIEx1, Stealth Device and advanced targeting computer

TIE F/O - Epsilon Leader with weapons guidance

TIE F/O - Zeta Squadron Pilot

Just to let you know I don't have autothrusters...yet.

With the TA being quite evadie I thought I might run them full speed at the enemy and try and unload missiles early, hoping that green dice and shields keep me alive. Inquisitors EPT on the TA.

Comments are always appreciated, even if I don't end up flying the suggestions I find it really helpful getting into the mindset of how other people build their squads.

As you lack Autothrusters I can only suggest a couple of minor changes.

Give the Inquisitor PTL. That way you can grab Focus plus Target Lock and Evade the turn you go to use the Prockets. That should almost guarantee 5 hits from them. Boosting the TA isn't nearly as important.

Why not replace Epsilon Leader with Epsilon Ace? Having a PS12 is more fun than you'll believe. Plus he's 2 points cheaper allowing you to give him a Comm Relay to hang on to that Evade token. It's only 2 red dice but still a chance to make someone burn tokens before the Inquisitor shoots.

Thanks. I quite like these suggestions. I've used Ace before and liked him but got seduced by the stress removal. Perhaps I should just think of the TIE F/Os as the deadmeat they will become.
