How about Soulstorm from Dark Heresy Blood of Martyrs versus BC Charakters? This Priest spell hurts 1live/1 Corruption point, that means 100 live from every BC Characters?

Dark heresy does not scale well compared to newer systems. For example psychic powers were rolling D10s to get over a threshold and avoiding 9s. Characters and damage were high. Character health equally so.

While the theory is there it cannot work in practice and the corruption scale for BC is different to existing systems. The original is your fall to chaos and progress to but BC is your process towards Apotheosis, spawn status or Chaos Champion.

You cannot therefore compare the two and use them without replacing bits. Without the original in front of me I'd have said given that potency, a number of damage equal to maybe up to 4 times the target creatures corruption bonus (tens multiplier). On humans you'd be looking at maybe 20 damage to the average heretic but for a daemon even more...but these are examples without the text to hand.

Soulstorm is not a psychic power it is originated from the faith in the Emperor. It Is a Faith power. Shoer answer is Yes it do damage 1d10+Corruption point ignoring Tougness Bonus and armour. (also power field corresponding to the meaning of the power). Also keep in mind it is a different system with different scale. I may swap the corruption point to Corruption bonus to get a workable faith power.....

Also imagine how easily can it backfire: Let's say the priest managed to pull it and killed the corrupted heretic with it. Hurray no the priest unconscious. (as the power work:" (effectively knocking him

unconscious and causing him to collapse) "). Oh well the heretic just burn Infamy return with 1 wound and R'ape/infect/maim&burn/corrupt the priest. So maybe re doing the cost could be necessary to.....

I know that systems are different, but i am looking for different opinions for this situation. In my game Priest with Sorcerer of Chaos will have meeting in a while and i looking for the most equity way for clash those Characters :-)
