4x Gamma Vets

Thinking about this list as a sort of imperial u-boats equivalent. How good do you all think this actually is?

I definitely like this build. I had a similar idea that replaced LRS with guidance chips and the fourth Gamma squadron vet with Jonus + tie shuttle, fleet officer & adaptability. Yours definitely looks interesting too; I really like the deadeye + long range scanners combination, and adding fleet officer to that looks great. One thing I'm not sure on is the systems officer; it seems like it might be redundant with / interact poorly with the scanners. Not that it'll never be useful, but there may be better options - Tactician might be an interesting idea to make the 4th vet into more of a nuisance / threat and draw fire away from your bombers. An alternative might actually be a shuttle with fleet officer + sensor baffle. It's a lot more durable than the bomber (and hits harder too), but staying with the swarm past the initial joust could be a problem. Just my two cents.

As to whether it's actually viable I haven't the slightest clue. I can't see it being as strong as Uboats because you're depending on an escort to maximize your damage output, and you don't have turrets for the lategame. Of course, "not as strong as Uboats" hardly makes it weak. One final option might actually be to drop the support ship in favor of a 4th vet with torpedoes. They hit weaker individually but there's more of them and target prioritization becomes harder.
