Double E fun!

By Wiredin, in X-Wing Squad Lists

My love for A wings and E wings in this game is too addictive. I've been flying a 4 a wing list for a couple of months and while it is a ton of fun it just doesn't have the fire power to take down heavies.

So I started thinking.... What about replacing one of the A wings with an E... Or even two!!

E-Wing: Blackmoon Squadron Pilot (29)

Accuracy Corrector (3)

· R2-D2 (4)

Stealth Device (3)

E-Wing: Blackmoon Squadron Pilot (29)

Accuracy Corrector (3)

· R5-P9 (3)

Stealth Device (3)

A-Wing: Green Squadron Pilot (19)

Push The Limit (3)

Chardaan Refit (-2)

Stealth Device (3)

A-Wing Test Pilot (0)

Adaptability (Increase) (0)

Or swap for hull upgrades. I'm not sure which one I like better after trying both with the A wings for a while, along with AT. AT would be ideal but no boost on the E wings. Could go AT on the A and add juke or wired to the A instead with the extra points.

It's one less ship, same amount of dice, same pilot skill, same overall hit points, But accuracy corrector is there to help up the damage per round. I do loose the turtle effect and the boost however.....

Any other ideas for a double E build?

I'm theory crafting a corran, Ethan, Biggs build.... But I don't think it will do well at all.

I would not use Accuracy Corrector on a 3 attack ship. Guaranteed two hits is not actually a good deal for 3 points, especially when firing at Range 1. The only thing that should be considering it over FCS is the TIE advanced.

Here's an old list I've ran a few times:

2 blackmoons w/ FCS & R7 = 33 x 2

2 proto pilots w/ chardaan & autothrusters = 17 x 2

100

Unfortunately, the FCS + R7 combo works best when attacking lower Pilot Skill (PS 1 or 2), but it still works against higher pilot skill----just not on the opening exchange of shots (or when you switch targets). That isn't as much of a problem though if you can get your a-wings into nice blocking positions to deny actions.

Edit: deadeye + FCS doesn't work!

Not as impressive, but could do this instead:

Etahn w/ push the limit, advanced sensors & R2-D2 = 42

Biggs w/ R4-D6 + integrated = 26

Blackmoon w/ R5-X3 & FCS = 32

100

Why deadeye and fcs?

Why deadeye and fcs?

Hmmm, not enough sleep I guess....

For some reason I was thinking it would be like R4 agromech. Derp...

Going to try something fun...probably not going to do well

2x Knave pilot

3x prototype pilot w/refit
