Anyone know of any place in the UK that has it in stock? Excluding Amazon or ebay. (It's been sold on Amazon for over £40! and I am not paying that) None of the 3 local shops has a copy, hit all the major shops with an online presence and been through every shop (I think) on the Esdevium "find a store page" and no one seems to have a copy.

Last update on the status on here was the 14th April so its going to be a while before those hit the shops.

So hoping someone knows of a copy out there. Hopefully a bricks and mortar store as I prefer giving them the business.

I just came to this forum to find out exactly the same thing!! No availability in the UK at the moment. It looks like its out of stock on this site as well so maybe theirs new stock being printed? Hopefully that will get sent over to the UK as well. Looking forward to getting into this game.

it's about 2/3 down that page. We have to consider that it normally takes about 3 months to hit the shop once it goes to on the boat status. So it could be quite a while before it hits the shelves again. :-(

Is the UK core set much different from the US one? The US Amazon store has it for a little under $30 USD. No idea how much shipping would be or what the currency conversion is, but maybe that would be an option if you really need a set and don't want to wait.

I've seen it in stock at both Waterstones and forbidden planet stores in the last couple of weeks, in Birmingham and Stoke on Trent.

Doubt there is any difference in the game. The problems would be with importing it. You can get hit with import duty for anything costing over £16 (about $24) and a handling charge from the carrier of £8 or so ($12) So you could theoretically double the cost. What you also have to bear in mind the the postage is also included in the duty rate so you get taxed on postage as well. It can be hit or miss at times. sometimes they will stick you with the bill sometimes not.

I checked at the local Waterstones on Monday as they have had x wing in the past. The last time the local shop had LOTR was in 2012 and it's not on their website. Will check with Forbidden planet again tomorrow, but it shows out of stock with them. Not sure if they do a mail order service from the branches.

When I don't order online I get my LotR stuff from Travelling Man. The one in Newcastle is pretty erratic in what they keep in stock, and I haven't been in recently, but they do tend to have Core Sets as I recall.

The Newcastle branch was one of the shops I was in the other day. Like most places they have everything but the core set. The other shops were Midlam (again everything but the core) and Forbidden planet. After Caffeines comment I am going to check with Newcastle FP tomorrow to see if they can check stock at other stores.

Im in the same boat after playing star wars lcg to death. T hink ive emailed AND phoned every gaming shop in the UK for last week and watched that one on amazon. nows there one for £53.... FFG replied to their facebook message and informed me due to demand again it is printing very shortly.....deperate to play this. Have asked games club if members would lend or sell one...(((

You could try some shops stationed in Belgium or the Netherlands. You won't be obliged to pay import duties.

Thanks for the info and the link. Core set ordered and cheaper than the "people" selling it on Amazon. I thought I had a copy on Saturday from the UK, but it seemingly sold just as I'd ordered it.

The link was great, literally only cost a couple of pounds more than I was going to be paying from the UK and that was down to postage.

If I'd had to wait till the new reprint was done, I probably wouldn't have bought it, as I wanted it because I'm stuck in hotels for next 3 months.

So thanks again for the suggestion and the link.

I'll have to remember it for future, now I know there are english language versions available in NL and Be.
