I was thinking this afternoon which of the ships for x-wing has FFG sold the most of and least of?

I seeing I doubt we will ever know, good people of the forum, What is your pick for best and worst of X-wing?

I really am torn between the shuttle and defender for best and star viper is my least.

I'm 99% sure that the week after wave 6 came out, everyone figured out that buying 6 M3A's might not have been the best idea...

Functionally or aesthetically? In terms of coolness I'd have to say it's a toss-up between the phantom and the shuttle coming up tops (with the star viper running third) and the flying shipping container (-666) and the k-wing tied as taking a few too many whacks from the ugly stick. The -666 doesn't fly.... it's just so ugly that the ground repels it.

Best = sold most?

For me, the best are K-wings and ABT Ghosts and the worst are interceptors

Best tie fighter academies, worst a-wings.

TIE Bomber is my to-go ship for flying even before the addition of Extra Munitions and Guidance Chips. I have Five of them and have enjoyed flying them in formation in larger point games. Their newer upgrades let the fly loose now when needed.

Worst would be most likely the M3-A Intercepter: as elusive as the ship could be the title being an additional tax to the actual upgrade.

Fairly certain they have sold the most Tie fighters, if you count he core set and carrier as 2 sales. They have probably sold the least Hwks.

It's hard for me to pick the best ship, as the way it is loaded up makes such a huge difference. The worst might be the Outer Rim Smuggler.

Best - Variety of ships and overall game play fun factor for casual players.

The Worst - ENDLESS whining about game balance (95% turret complaints) by the same people over and over again. Some is of course ok its the over and over and over again stuff.....

I would rank pilots rather than ships. A lot of ships have both good and bad pilots. For example, most TIE Interceptor pilots are beyond crap, but Soontir and Carnor are both top tier.

Sales-wise, I imagine the humble TIE Fighter to be at the top. Not only is it a cost efficient ship with several usable pilots, but it is also one that is frequently used in numbers.

Probably TIE fighters. Every Imperial player has tried their hand at TIE swarm.

Best: soontir, whisper, corran - fun to play even when I mess them up

Worst: m3-a, and that poor punisher...

ok hounds tooth is a building with an engine strapped to it, so not pretty...

Tie fighter has to be top too, I mean even when you're u watch one blow up...there's still 6 more..muhaha

And our ol' workhorse the t-65 when you watched it 1 shot that tie fighter...c'mon man! That was fun...

Best- I've quickly grown very fond of the Ghost.

Worst- functionally, I'd say M3-A; aesthetically, the TIE Punisher just bugs me.

The Scyk is my least favorite but I think it looks cool.

The Trip-6 is my most favorite but I think it looks funky.

Runner up is the Ywing.

Worst? The TIE Punisher, by an absolute country mile.

Best: for me that means most used, so that's a tie between the Tie Bomber and A-wing

Worst: least used, the Hawk.

Best: TIE Phantom

But if you're talking about Most vs Least...

Most: Probably not TIE Fighter as so many bought 2x Core set. I think it's probably Jumpmaster 5000, certainly in terms of $ value.

Least: HWK.

I have to say, I think the Mist Hunter is a really ugly ship. I bought one yesterday and as I was holding it I sort of went "ewww" in my head.

Best ship would be either the X-Wing or the A-Wing. As far as what sells the most I would be surprised if it wasn't TIE Fighters. Most imperial players I've met have at least 8 of them, with the TIE/fo combined it's more like 12-16.

Most: TIE Bomber <- since it has become so much better lately and will become even better with the veterans

Least: M3A <- just don't like em so I don't pick em^^
