Suicide Squad List

By the1hodgy, in X-Wing Squad Lists

So the hole point of this list is to use the Pirates as blockers and send them to cold vacuum of space while the JumpMaster 5000 does the heavy lifting.

Suicide Squad (100)

Binayre Pirate (17) - Z-95 Headhunter

Ion Pulse Missiles (3), Feedback Array (2)

Binayre Pirate (17) - Z-95 Headhunter

Ion Pulse Missiles (3), Feedback Array (2)

Binayre Pirate (17) - Z-95 Headhunter

Ion Pulse Missiles (3), Feedback Array (2)

Binayre Pirate (17) - Z-95 Headhunter

Ion Pulse Missiles (3), Feedback Array (2)

Contracted Scout (32) - JumpMaster 5000

Intimidation (2), Intelligence Agent (1), Feedback Array (2), Anti-Pursuit Lasers (2)

Anybody have any thoughts?

I don't understand why you are running a 'bumpmaster' when your strategy is to use the z-95's as blockers? Also, if you intend to use them as blockers, why give them missiles? PS 1 is a terrible spot to be for an ordnance carrier...

I would say there are two routes you could go with this:

- Either turn those z-95's into better missile carriers by upgrading them to Blacksun Soldiers (drop feedback arrays) and turn some or all those IPMs into concussions (also get guidance chips on all of them!). Then you can use the bumpmaster as it was intended for (as your blocker!). So:

Contracted scout w/ intimidation, intel agent, Feedback & APL = 32

4 Blacksun Soldiers w/ concussion missiles & guidance chips = 17 x 4

100

- Or, turn the bumpmaster into a proper torpedo boat by dropping all the missiles and leave those z-95's as 'bugzappers'. Like so:

Contracted Scout w/ deadeye, plasma torps, extra munitions, guidance chips & 4-LOM = 34

3 binayre pirates w/ feedback = 14 x 3

2 binayre pirates = 12 x 2

100

Either of those options would work better, imo.

Now that I look at what you have wrote, I think you are right.

I've kinda mangled the whole point of list.

I may try out the second list you posted tonight in casual.
