Trandoshan Chariots

By Grivoire, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Trandoshan Slaver (29)

Dengar (3)

Zuckuss (1)

4-LOM (1)

Trandoshan Slaver (29)

Boba Fett (1)

Greedo (1)

K4 Security Droid (3)

Trandoshan Slaver (29)

K4 Security Droid (3)

Total: 100 Points

The idea is to chip away opponent shields using the 1st and 3rd Trandoshan before Boba Greedo kicks in with 2nd Trandoshan's Attack. What I like about this list is that these chariots doesn't give a **** about stress. They embrace it. and with 36 HP, it'll be pretty hard to shoot down everything in a 60/75 min game.

I always thought the idea of flying 3 YVs as suggested by the article preview is bad. FFG just made it possible thanks to Wave 8. Thoughts anyone?

Zuckuss from 1st to 3rd.

Overloading the same ship with stress and ion while you have another that should be doing greens anyway seems counterproductive. Other than that, you should be set.

Swap Dengar with K4 between your first and 3rd Slavers IMO. You'll want to eventually shed your stress anyway. I've flown 4LOM, Zuckuss, K4 on a Slaver quite a few times and getting Ioned isn't that common nor so bad when you've shed your stress.

This also lets your 3rd Slaver move unpredictably with just Dengar crew.

I think that's a solid list. As soon as Wave 8 was leaked, I knew the YV-666 was going to benefit greatly.

Its glaring weakness is having ships get behind you still.

I ran something similar at my gaming club yesterday. I had Dengar, 4-LOM and Tactician on the first YV and Zuckuss, K4 and APL on the second. Instead of the third I had a Jumpmaster with Intimidation, Intelligence agent and APL.

It worked really well, but part of that I believe to be due to the fact that no one seemed to know what to do against it.

You're right. Doing so messes up the opponent's target priority as well

The games I've played so far doesn't really require me to clear stress (12+ and counting). It'll be a problem when it's the last ship remaining though. Nevertheless, I agree with swapping the K4/Dengar for this list though. The 3rd's movement will be less predictable like you said.

Bumpmasters are good! But my concern is they might be more customized to fight against aces. Against low PS generics the bumpmasters might not be able to contribute a lot..

That is true for the whole list. It is not good against swarms.

And it does struggle against aces too, if the aces are flown by a good player. One bumpmaster is not enough to prevent the aces from getting behind the YVs and causing a lot of hurt.
