VCX and your favourite turret

I've been running ABT with FCS for 4 games now. Not many. There have been times when I've missed AC but the number of times I have been able to roll 4-5 red dice with a target lock while stressed more than made up for it. Add Solo crew...... it feels like cheating.

Might be the wrong forum for this question but does this work?

Roll for ABT get a focus and a blank

Use TL to reroll the blank and get what ever.

FCS gives you a TL which you can then Solo the focus.

Yeah doesn't sound right.

Its not right, FCS triggers after the attack, meaning that once you've spend your TL you have none until after the attack has resolved.

Blaster Turret, with recon specialist you can fire it twice in a round :P

Unfortunately not because it is [ATTACK] FOCUS and you can only attack once per round (unless a card specifically allows a second attack like the Ghost/Phantom or Tie/D title). You cannot make a second attack with the blaster turret, even if you have a second Focus token available.

I think they are getting at if you have the Phantom docked as well, you shoot with Blaster turret in your combat phase, use title ability to shoot a turret weapon again, same as why AB turret can do 4 damage in a round.

lol I was just joking guys. But think about it a couple of recon specs you can fire it twice and have a focus that turn. Of course you would still be better off with ANYTHING else, but give blaster turret a chance :P

With the cheapest Ghost and Phantom it is already roughly 60 poins. 40 points is a lot, but that leaves the Phantom a generic one. Poe or Miranda? What else can fly in the near and do damage, since one can't rely only on the huge damage from the ship. Biggs and a Z95?

I've been tweaking a Miranda/Lothal Rebel/Zeb list lately and I have really enjoyed it so far. I'm not convinced yet that the Phantom onboard is the better choice, since for the same points I can take a couple torps and a Headhunter (giving me up to two turns of rear arc damage out of the VCX as needed) but the main difference is mid-battle deployment of Zeb since I get to choose the most inopportune time to throw a 3ATK wrench in the works.

Okay, I'm trying to work this out:

Sensor Jammer:

When defending, you may change 1 of the attacker's hit.png results to a eye.png result. The attacker cannot reroll the die with the changed result.
Accuracy Corrector:
When attacking, you may cancel all of your dice results. Then you may add 2 hit.png results to your roll. Your dice cannot be modified again this attack.
Order of attack:
1) Attacker rolls.
2) Defender modifies attack dice.
3) Attacker modifies attack dice.

Two weeks ago I was ABT or go home. Watching the handful of league games that involved a ghost, including my own, has made me rethink this quite a bit. If someone brings imp aces ABT is flatout superior, but there actually aren't a lot of those around locally or in the vassal league.

Now I'm liking some TLT and dorsal builds quite a bit more. Dorsal with title and TLT without title, obviously.

I like chopper+tactician+ion combo. With phantom docked, Range 1 is a big no-no as you get a 5 dice primary THEN an ion. Range 2 is a 4 die primary, plus ion with a double stress. You can always stress-ION large ships with a double ion attack. Ion turret also works nice defensively as you can go after your primary target and ion flankers, who next turn bump into you, getting stressed, or miss an attack next turn.

I am warming to the Ion turret as well. Suits Chopper particularly well but good all-round.
