Is a K-Turn considered a straight maneuver?

By Archangelspiv, in X-Wing

Hi everyone,

I have done some searching and cant find a definitive answer so I came here to hopefully get some direction.

Seems I am one of the few people who like Imperial Boba and as such, I really like Hera and her shenanigans she can pull off.

My question is,is a K-Turn considered a straight maneuver? I thought with navigator, she can make a 1 hard turn into a 5 K turn, and with Navigator, turn that into a 1-4 straight move. You get my drift.

Cheers in advance

No.

no, same with the crit that does not allow you to go straight. K-turn legal though.

Yep. That.

Basically, if it doesn't have the straight arrow next to the maneuver, it's not a straight maneuver. Similarly, Segnor's Loops are not bank maneuvers, Talon Rolls are not turn maneuvers, and the 0-stationary is not a straight maneuver. Each symbol is its own special snowflake of a bearing.

No. Sorry.

From what I've learned so far the K turn is a unique maneuver. By that I mean, even though you're going straight, it's not a straight maneuver, it's simply a K turn.

I'm not familiar with Hera's ability so I can't comment on morphing a 1 hard into a 5K into a straight maneuver using Navigator. If possible seems like a pretty awesome combination.

There are 2 parts to a manuever. The Speed. And the Bearing. There are currently 11 different Bearings: Turn (R&L), Bank (R&L), Straight, K-turn, S-Loop (R&L), Tallon Roll (R&L), and Stop.

EDIT: Err, 3 parts. Difficulty as well.

Heras ability reads, "When you reveal a green or red manoeuvre, you may rotate your dial to another manoeuvre of the same difficulty", I thought, nay hoped, that it was a straight maneuver. You could turn a Hard turn to a 5 K, then use navigator to change that to a 1-4 straight maneuver. She can turn a 1 or 3 bank to a 5 K, just a no on the navigator kick in.

Cheers for the heads up.

You could turn a white hard 2 into a white 3/4 straight then use navigator to turn that into a green 1/2 straight. Not as awesome as you hoped but still kind of slick. Or you could do the reverse. Change a white straight to a white turn then use navigator to change that into a red turn at 1/3. Or a 5k into a hard turn then navigator turns the hard red into a hard white. Just about every combo is available except the one you wanted.

I just wish she could have the VI EPT, take her up to a 9. Try and arc dodge that! lol.

Uh no. Sorry, but Hera's ability is only for green and red manoeuvres.

A k turn is a k turn.

A straight is a straight etc.

Cheers Guys and Gals,

I guess I was hoping that because you put out a straight template it might be considered straight. Better to ask here than be laughed at in store.

Cheers for your input.

Ah crap! You're right, the first example won't work. New rule, for me, "No posting after 22:00".
