Okay random thought popped into my head - what happens to your talent sockets when you advacne:

1) Do they get replaced by the new careerers?

2) Do the new careers add to your current sockets?

3) Does something else happen?

The obvious answer is 1 but there is a problem spell caster into non spell caster career would loose their faith/order card, so thoughts and suggestions anyone.

Right now I'm thinking on some mechanism, that will allow my players to change one of their talent sockets to another acquired earlier similiar to stance changes, or something like that.

While an interesting question. If you are keeping with the setting any magic using character that left their order would be hunted down and purged by both their order/cult, and witch hunters.

Ultimately it's your gaming experience, but FFG was most likely developing the game in-line with canon. And going "rogue" as a magic user is equal to a very short life-span.

Consequently, I do not believe that the talent allows/inhibits a character from casting (magic and divine) spells. The character simply needs the appropriate skills and action cards.

Number 1 is the correct answer. If you change careers, you lose your old sockets and gain the new ones of your career. As pumpkin said, losing your Order/Faith socket does not prevent you from casting spells/blessings, you just lose the benefit of the card ... at least until such a time as you enter another career with that same socket.
