Not a big deal, bit I notice a discrepancy between ninja and Matt's records of Mad's match. Ninja has it as an 8-2 while Matt is showing it as a 7-3. With a 125 MoV, it should be 7-3. Not a big deal, just wanted to point that out.

No problem. The record needs to be straight!
Madaghmire please verify. Viperous had originally posted a 7-3 but later edited it to an 8-2.

I apologise profusely for this. I used (I think) the old regulations for Tournament MoV which shows the boundary for an 8-2 (here --> https://images-cdn.fantasyflightgames.com/filer_public/0b/23/0b237ad9-25bb-44db-80dd-fd7ebdb0d8c8/armada_tournament_rules_v103.pdf
but clearly the rules have been updated since then.
It's a 7-3 then. Sorry Truth, it wasn't a deliberate mistake ![]()
Edit. Edited my other posts to match new result
Edited by ViperousHa, no worries. I wouldn't have even noticed if it wasn't for the discrepancy between matt and ninja.
Game Over!
As anticipated, my flagship didn't last long enough to activate, but that was just the beginning of a violent engagement that saw half a dozen fighters shred the Demolisher in retaliation, and a Raider casually saunter up to Yavaris and just blow it away with one front arc shot.

(starts when we resumed the game at the end of turn 2)
Casualties:
Raider-I Class Corvette (44 points)
- Instigator ( 4 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Assault Proton Torpedoes ( 5 points)
[ flagship ] Gladiator I-Class Star Destroyer (56 points)
- Demolisher ( 10 points)
- Intel Officer ( 7 points)
- Ordnance Experts ( 4 points)
- Engine Techs ( 8 points)
- Expanded Launchers ( 13 points)
4 TIE Fighter Squadrons ( 32 points)
[ flagship ] Assault Frigate Mark II B (72 points)
Commander: Garm Bel Iblis - Garm Bel Iblis ( 25 points)
- Gunnery Team ( 7 points)
- Boosted Comms ( 4 points)
- Electronic Countermeasures ( 7 points)
Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points)
- Yavaris ( 5 points)
- Veteran Captain ( 3 points)
That's 180 - 187 in the Rebel's favour, with a tiny victory stolen from the gaping jaws of a massive defeat.
Well played Miedomeda.
Edited by MattShadowlordAs Matt said, when we left yesterday things were going to get bloody, and they did.
Matt was enterataining to play against, as always, but most of all I am impressed by his manouvering skills: in the end my 2 ships died from being roadblocked in their position, both because I didn't choose optimal approach paths and because Matt did. Even better, my 2 surviving ships didn't get a chance to shoot ever, every approach path being blocked by his huge bomber cloud and/or asteroids. Really impressive flying.
All in all, a really fun and close game, that could have swung either way any moment.
...and sorry to all the imps rooting for me!

Yeah you should be sorry, you have raised every Imperial heart only to cast them down.

Goodbye my friend ![]()
Only one game remains to be completed - thanks to everyone for getting their matches done despite crazy time zones, work schedules, malfunctioning alarm clocks and all the inconveniences of 'real life'.

Doobleg vs Green Squadron 3 - The last battle of the first round.
Admirals of the Empire hear me!
This is a day that we will remember. A day when these "rebel" scum gained on our previous war advance.
Remember this day and let it be a warning to you.
Order! Strength!
This war WILL be ours!
If my math is correct (slapped this together quickly) the rebel scum currently lead in tournament points
79 - 61 with an overall MOV of 809
I sense...a presence...
Uh oh, another "motivational speech" is coming...
Yavin A Laugh would like to thank Hoth Command for their sterling efforts in the recent engagements with the imperial savages.
However, we formally request that you stop spreading the idea that NebulonB is protecting the people of Yavin. Despite our recent endeavours in spaceships we have the valient citizens of Yavin protected with the ultimate weapon.
In their desire for ultimate control over the hearts and minds we employ the imperials worst nightmare, humour. They may shoot our ships, blow up our squadrons, but we will greet them on the beaches with our heads high and send them packing with a rousing belly laugh.
Yours Yavin A Laugh

...okay...you got me...
Good job to Hoth Command, going 4-1 (2-1-2?) against some stiff Imperial competition.
I emailed GS yesterday to tee up a time, yet to hear back.

Yes we are VERY happy to get to our escape pods and let the Thieves deal with another Imperial Team... ![]()
