Had a fantastic time at Battleground Games and Hobbies in Plainville, MA. Really well run event and good store. 15 Players, I ended up undefeated.

Only match of yours I saw was the finale (I was sitting to your left at the end), but you played that exceptionally well. Also, you rebased your guys on a set I've been eyeing for a while. So if I see you at another event, it'll just be your list / deck that I deliberately copied. The bases would be a coincidence, though. ;) Really nice paint jobs on your squad as well.

I went 1/3 (2/4 overall, counting the bye I brought with me) but each match I played was competitive, so it's hard to ask for more than that. My list was really similar to yours, except I had rRoyal Guards and no Rule by Fear. I can post my command card deck if folks are interested.

Battleground did a really nice job and the vibe overall was very positive throughout the event.

Fargo, ND

1st Place (undefeated, 7-0)

  • eWing Guard (2x)
  • rHK
  • Bossk
  • Temp. Alliance
  • C-3PO

I left before the final round. Had a feeling that's how it was going to end up. Congrats :)

Thanks! I really like the Secret Weapon bases and have used them for a couple of different games now. The substitution from rRoyal Guard -> eISB + RBH is one that I'm still chewing over. I'm not sold that it was an upgrade, but I enjoyed playing with new guys and RBH is always super helpful.

What are Secret Weapon bases ?

15 players, 4 byes, 4 swiss, top 8. Only ID was the two 3-0s.

I'm very impressed by that Heroic Effort list, and congrats to you as well. It's awesome that Mak was in a winning list, I usually dismiss him as too flimsy.

How do you run Mak and make him worth it?

My list is catching on it looks like! Wonder about their CMD decks.

How do you run Mak and make him worth it?

In six games on the day Mak did something like:

Die only once

Get the kill shot on about half a dozen guys (blew up at least 3 command cards including 2 in top 4 game)

Allowed me to cancel a reinforcements with comm disruption when one sab group was dead

Scored a 9 point token

Held down a terminal or two

I feel like that's worth 3 points. He almost never gets shot at. I mean, he's in the back behind everything. He was actually in my two regional winning lists last year, but then I took him out until the royal guard nerf because they did limit his ability to deal damage.

I was running one of those decks. I have been toying with this list since Bespin came out- but couldn't decide between Murne or Gideon. When I saw how you did with your list- I decided to give it a go with Murne.

There were a few differences in the command decks, like I didn't use Telekinetic Throw or Stealth Tactics. I want to say I didn't use Hit and Run either. I mostly tore it apart earlier today- I'll see if I can find my notes where I jotted down the list for a complete breakdown of what I had.

Anyone know who won the Tampa Regional?

I'm pretty salty that I went 2-2, with both my losses coming from the two players that went undefeated. Got 9th place and didn't make the top 8 cut out of 20 people :(

Ultimately ryan won with his RGC list. Didn't see the last game. We left to get food and get back on the road after the top 4.

I've played with a list like this before Zillo came out. It's fun!

The art of skillfully browsing and purchasing real estate.

I go back and forth on this card alot. And can be really neat, a psuedo xwing palpatine in this game. But it's always tough to cram in upgrades instead of figures, and it's a bit matchup dependant. The irony is that rule by fear helps it out a little, but you often only have room for one. Obviously both were in that list, and it worked out that day, but 9 figures (2 of which are officers) is super sketch. But in general, I want to try out the card somewhere.

Well hadn't updated my site in about two months for Imperial Assault but it now contains all the latest releases and the results from this thread. Have a regional this weekend coming so will make sure to report back with those results.

Ahh Katowice, I miss the smutty air and the sinking earth beneath my feet. That takes me back, my friend.

What's this point denial wookiee list? do you send the wookiees in waves or something and then pull them back as they get low on health?

Which reminds me, when you play Adrenaline, do you not get to keep the +5 health into the next round? Its not a recover, so if your wookiees may all die if they add 5 health but get knocked down to 4 or less by the end of the round, right??

They lose the 5 health at the end of the round. So they could all die if they are on 5 or less health when this happens

What does "points denial" mean? And where is the command deck list? People say things like, "I won with [squad build X]," but that means next to nothing if it gives no credit to the command deck that went with the team.
