In Viper's den, it says 'when a Rebel figure carrying the data core escapes:'. What does that mean exactly? Come out of the map? what are the exact points they can come out? Does the yellow point where the reserved group comes in count as an escape route?

I believe that's a part of the side mission objectives for the Rebel Heroes. They have to pick up a Datacore and meet a win condition. I don't have my book in front of me, but it should be clear if you carefully read the mission objectives and win conditions on page 16 of the core book.
