Seeking nay-sayers' reviews

By xenoss, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

There were a lot of negativity surrounding the game prior to its demo and release.

Now that all is said and done, I want to ask the nay-sayers their updated opinion on the game; did your opinion change after having played it? What is your honest opinion now? Anything you thought were good but turned out bad, and stuff you thought were bad that turned out good?

I wouldn't think a lot of nay-sayers will have bought the game..

jh

Yeah, I think you'll find those nay-sayers on the fence enough to actually give it a try will wait for reviews/a friend to get it and then allow them to read it before actually making a decision. I'm on the fence enough that I've asked for it for Christmas, with the reasoning it doesn't seem a waste if it's not my money...

I often find the nay-sayer reviews (pre- and post-release [is it really a 'review' when you haven't read the entire game and/or given it a play yet?]) often help shape my opinion more than the positive or fanboi reviews of a product. The negative nellies put things into light a positive review may gloss over and helps me consider whether it's something I would/wouldn't enjoy on my own. So a good mix of both pro and con reviews are welcome by this poster.

I'd also like to hear from folks who were positive before release, but are now meh or turned off by it after buying/playing and why the shift. "There's not enough in it" isn't valid to me as we ALL KNOW this isn't the only product to be released.

Ah, thanks. Trying to keep up with the various threads, but that's nigh impossible!! :)

I don't think he technically meant negative reviews, but instead he wants reviews from people who may have had a negative impression of the game before trying it.

@ OP: I don't have links, but if you take the time to read some of the reviews in the Emperor's Decree event forum there were at least one or two reviews from skeptics.

Yes, what I'm looking for are reviews (positive or negative) from people who were negative during the period prior to demo/release. Because they are biased against the game, the things they think are good (if they are honest enough about things) has more significance than a fan's praise. It'd be interesting to see what they thought were right and wrong about their previous assessment, and if their opinion changed at all.

So I'm not so much looking for negative reviews as I'm looking for reviews from skeptics.
