Are you going to run the Demo for your players? Any updates/expansion thoughts?

Yep, I am. I'll be doing that not just for them, but for me as well. I learn better by doing, so getting my hands dirty with the demo will work out great.

However, straight afterwards, I'll be launching into "the Ghost of Mondstille", once we've got the basics down.

I am, definitely. The only change I know for sure I'll be making is swapping out the Grey Mage's Pool of Shadows for something less detrimental to the party. It screws up ranged attacks which the enemies have few-to-none of and the PCs have in abundance. He really needs a different spell so he's not just spamming Magic Dart.

I'm going to run the demo with the sample characters. Once the players have a feel for the game we will create original characters for a campaign.

By the way, just picked up my copy today. I don't think either FLGS's preordered this as they both were told the game was on back order. One shop went with a new supplier and got their copies this afternoon. That is one heavy box.

Yer i think i am going to use it with the pre-gens as a starter session to get people familiar with the rules and talents etc and then go back get them to gen their own pcs and start a campaign properly...

we won't be starting straight away (just begun a DH campaign) so the new campaign set may well be out by the time we start wfrp proper.
