Help understanding Force Move

By Snowy, in Game Masters

I'm trying to write up a simple cheat sheet for Force Move.

I think I've got most of it (discipline check based on size, range and strength upgrades etc) apart from one thing. How does throwing multiple things work?

It says for hitting multiple targets to use the same rules as autofire. Is this just you need to include any penalties for the hardest person you want to hit part or does it also mean you need 2 adv per 'shot'?

I'm leaning towards the first reading, so discipline check based on the object your throwings size modified by any ranged defence or adversary rating of the hardest target. Then number of objects that to throw is just down to how many magnitude upgrades you buy.

Does that sound correct?

It means treat the Discipline roll as if it were an autofire shot being made with a gun. So added Difficulty, hardest target, 2 Advantages per, etc.

Oh, and don’t forget that if you pick up sentient beings and you intend to use them as ranged weapons (i.e., throwing one person into another person), then for a Rival or Nemesis that could/should be an opposed check first, and then a second roll to throw them using the Ranged Light rules.

Even in our group that has played this game for several months, we keep having to re-vist and re-re-visit the rules on this one every time someone tries to do it.

I used the heck out of it during the FaD playtest, and I still need to go back over it from time to time too.
