The Inquisitor, Darth Vader, and what?

By killakan, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I flew these two today for the first time with a missile boat Punisher and they fly nice, I want to replace the Punisher but don't know what to do with my remaining 26 points.

Inquisitor

  • Push The Limit
  • Proton Rockets
  • TIE/v1
  • Hull Upgrade (don't have Autothrusters)

Darth Vader

  • Push The Limit
  • Proton Rockets
  • Engine Upgrade (Don't have Title.)

Not a fan of PTL on Vader myself, the dial doesn't get rid of stress well overall. You could drop that for something else and then use those points elsewhere or for something else of equal value. P-rocs on inquisitor has me scratching my head as well. He really wants to stay away and shoot to prevent opponents the ability to get extra shots at him.

you can always grab a couple of TIE Acadamy pilots to use as blockers to help setup you shots. Or if you dropped the p-rocks and PTL on Vader for VI or even adaptability you can open up to 31 points for a Royal guard Tie with PTL and a targeting computer.

Did someone say 26pts?

I'd be inclined to replace Darth if you're playing him without his title card. What ships do you have? I also don't have autothrusters but have flown Soontir Fel with ptl and stealth device with success (with points left over you can add targeting computer or hull upgrade also).

26pts on Omega Leader is a great shout also! He provides sooo much value if you can get him to survive to the end game.

That Vader is very expensive for 2 attack dice. No title and ATC, no sale, and PTL is pretty bad for him, as the Advanced has horrible greens and being stressed kills his pilot ability.

Inq/OL/Vader is a great combo, but not THAT vader.

I'm also looking at Vader.OL/Vessery once Veterans drops.

Focus on getting a few more ships to fill out that list.

Omega leader would be a great addition, but so would a palp shuttle if you drop the hull upgrade on Vader.

Switch PTL with VI on Vader. There's no reason to stress him when you can already do two actions.
