I have been thinking of going to a game store's weekly X-Wing gathering. It gathers a small crowd, as it is a newly opened branch of the store. I want to take a list that is simple ans semi-competitive. Nothing that will win regional tournaments, but decent enough. I also love theme.

Here is what I am thinking:

Some of the punch of a CrackSwarm with the addition of an ace hunter.

My other thought was to exchange one Omega pilot with Omega Ace.

I've run this before and it is fun. If your green dice are cold you will have a very bad day - lol.

Its one of my favourite iterations of crack swarm though. I put Tie MK II on Omega Leader.

I would leave it as is. Omega Ace without PTL or crackshot is going to be less useful than a regular Omega with crackshot.

What about swapping one of the omegas for Howlrunner? You could keep the same 98 pts if you wanted or you could fit in juke or crack shot because we know sometimes howl needs offensive help.

Another option:

Omega Leader w/ comms & Juke = 26

Wampa = 14

4 black squaddies w/ crack shot = 15 x 4

100

You gain an extra TIE, and wampa acts as 'biggs'.

I also love theme.

Theme dictates Omega or at least TIE/fo only. I say run it as is and let us know how it works out.
