Chicago Regional X-Wing 2016 at Pastimes

The X-Wing Regional will be a 2 day competitive tournament following all the current guidelines set by Fantasy Flight Games. Regionals will be open to all players but due to the space required for competitive X-Wing the event will be capped at 120 players. Players will be encouraged to preregister online to gain entry into the tournament. Successfully preregistering before the cap is met is the only way to guarantee entry. Once the cap of 120 players is hit there will be an online standby registration available in the event of any cancellations or no shows. The tournament will be split into 2 days with Day 1 consisting of all the Swiss Rounds (6 rounds for 120 players) and a break. Day 2 will consist of single elimination play for all the players who finished in the top 16 of the Swiss rounds the previous day. Additionally on Day 2 we will also have a redemption tournament for all players who wish to enter that didn’t make the top16 cut of the Regional tournament. • April 23rd and 24th at Pastimes Comic’s and Games 8502 W Golf Rd, Niles, Illinois 60714

• Player online Registration can be found on Pastimes website

• Regional Day 1 Roll Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. (If you preregistered online you still must be present at this time and submit you squad sheets. Any late players will be considered a no show and replaced by the first player on the stand by list.).

• Tournament Start Time 11:00 am Sharp

• Tournament Entry Fee $15 (100% of entry will go toward prize support)

• 100 Point Constructed Dog fight format 75 min Swiss Rounds

• Prizes to include all the items provided by Fantasy Flight Games as well as Custom Designed Top 32 Star field Maps. Additional prizes will be added based on the number of participants. We will announce additional prizes at a later date.

• We will also have a Best Painted/Modified ship contest voted by all participants. Prizes for the top 3 ships bring you’re A game!

• Day 2 will consist of redemption tournament we are calling our “A New Hope event” entry will be only $5 for anyone who participated in the Saturday Regional $10 for anyone who didn't participate in the Regional. We will be giving away FFG Kit Promos, Ships, and or store credit as well as a Signed Brian Rood A New Hope Print Exclusive to Celebration 7.

• Day 2 “A New Hope”Registration will be between 10-10:45 am 11:00 am start

• Day 2 Top 16 players will also start promptly at 11 am no need for registration.

Only 4 spots remain until the event is sold out thank you to everyone for your support.

I want to thank everyone for all their enthusiasm about this event but we are now currently capped at 120 players for preregistration. We have created a standby registration page for those who would like to be on a wait list in the event that some one drops out or doesn't show up on the day of the event. It has been my experience running these events there is always a few new shows so good luck may the force be with you.

X-Wing Regionals 2016 Standy Registration

I have some important information for Regional players who have a bye from Store Championship season. To better accommodate Store Champions who don’t really need to be in attendance for round 1 of Regionals we are offering those players the option for a late check in. If you have successfully preregistered for the event and have a bye that you would like to use in the first round you may opt to show up no later than 11:30 am. There are some procedures though that must be followed for you to do this. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me.



1. You must be fully registered and paid your entry fee.


2. You must have a bye awarded to you by a Store Championship event.


3. You must be using your bye in our Regional event to participate in late check in.


4. You cannot use the same Regional Bye that was already used at another Regional event.


5. You must notify me in writing via email by 10 pm Friday 4/22/16 to participate in late check in.


6. In the event that you are late to the 11:30 check in you will be dropped before the start of round 2 and your entry fee will be forfeited.


7. You must have your Regional Bye card with you when you use the late check in.


8. Your Squad list must be submitted via email prior to the event start at 11am


9. Please pass this message on I want to make sure everyone who has a bye knows this is an option.
