Heh I've actually looked at this a bit because it interests me when I see a post I enjoy or a post I don't, and I want to see if generally that user is agreeable or not.
I have a pretty healthy likes to posts ratio I believe. No need to boast though. 
It also helps that I end each of my posts with "like this if you like Star Wars".
Kidding.

My ratio is 89%, which I consider pretty good considering I'm pushing 10k posts.
135% The secret is to stare at each post for a while. Walk away. Come back and stare at it again. Ask yourself, "Does this add anything worthwhile to what is being discussed?" If you can't answer a confident yes, don't click.

Like gamblertuba, my approach is similar to the one I use on social media, both personally and commercially: "If I wasn't me, would this be interesting?" If the answer isn't immediately yes, then you know that the answer is "No".
