The point of the game is to play it.

Tallied thru 8, though accounting for post 7 was tricky so I went with the '3'.

3, but willing to agree on 2 if zero impact on other players scoring outcomes (to possibly make the cut without manipulating scores). Current ID format is manipulating scoring, which per FFG is "expressly forbidden" (except for the one loss crowd, apparently)

I would choose option 4 if it existed: Rules are not fine as written, but could be worked out with some major changes (such as an ID rewarding 0 points to both players as others suggested).

I put you down as a '2' as that is what fits your 'option 4' statement. In fact, I actually had that down as one of the adjustment options. I felt like some were maybe thinking the examples given were the fixes and therefore removed them.

FFG says it's 1. I've given it some thought and I'm starting to see why, so 1 it is. In the end it's still a game of chance and dice, says enough for the first 5 rounds.

Nearly 2:1 against the ID in it's current form, better than 3:2 against it in any form.
