Why is it so hard to find the lieutenant packs? All I want is a complete set of minifigs for the base game /o\

There are two reasons:

1) People seem to be buying LT packs just for minis, in addition to for plot decks. Therefore, the demand skews toward the lieutenants which most people own. 100% of people buying the packs just for minis will be after the base game lieutenants- they will have the highest demand.

2) These lieutenants are currently awaiting reprint. This means more supply is being created, but is not in stock yet. That is, there is not a steady stream of Splig figures being made on an assembly line. FFG has them made in batches, and then no more are made until another batch is orderd.

I have to admit, the collector in me wishes there were a steady stream so I could get one, but the business person inside my head understands why they need to do it in batches. I just hope I don't have to wait too long. I know I have seen some real sad time frames in other threads.

I'm in Europe and if they get reprinted I will buy them in my local region if available or direct from the U.S.

You are where I was two years ago. Be patient! Do NOT cave and purchase from overseas vendors. That's crazy! Hold firm. It may be a few months but they'll be reprinted. It took me two years to complete my collection. You'll get there.

I think it shows you the popularity of this game in contrast to IA. The re print for wave 1 with IA usually takes a month tops and we have new figures, for Descent it seems to be far down the priority list. This app may have come out just in time to save this game.

Well, in my case I purchased the lieutenants as my group progressed through the expansions. Plus spending $10 per lieutenant with three or four lieutenants per expansion can get expensive. The mortgage comes first! :-)

I have to say this is not correct. Some of us found this game too late to be able to "take them while they are out". In fact, some of us have just bought into the game this month and never had the opportunity to buy them other than super high priced after market sellers from the EU.

Uhh.. ya that doesn't make any sense, aren't we trying to attract new players to this game? But we should tell them to bad, so sad, you weren't here from the start?

Yeah, I got here too late for the first edition. I hear from most die hards that it was better in most every way.

I just plunked down the cash for everything released to date that was available through a variety of FLGS, Online Game Retailers, and Amazon.

There were STILL things I couldn't find and that's okay with me.

Honestly, I know people were bummed out about the scarcity issue, but that's nothing new with FFG releases. Having been in the LCG world and there for the launch of X-Wing there have been more critical shortages going into competitive play "seasons" than there are with Descent 2e right now.

The LT packs are on the boat and I cannot wait to get my hands on the ones I'm still missing!

I have heard as many times that a lot of things improved. But it depends on what you like or don't mind of course. But people who played both can say more meaningful things about that. Honestly, if they changed it, there was probably a good reason for it.

Maybe the LT packs you are missing are "On the Boat". But the three I am missing are still listed as "Awaiting Reprint".

Patient works. With what I have, I figure I can play for quite some time.

A little patience and some hustle. I managed to get everything but three of the original Lieutenants. I consider that a win for now. I do hope this prompts FFA to reprint the earlier stuff but who knows. I can keep waiting for now.
